just signed up for the £5.00 sim yesterday for my three daughters and wife. I wonder if they will let me change it

Yes they will. Done it 3-4 times with my 2 sims

What about roaming in EU? Can we use the same allowance in EU?

What network provider do they use?

I recently switched to Virgin who use EE but the signal in my house is very poor. I'm currently on the £9 plan with 1500 minutes, Unlimited text and 1GB data but the Plusnet offer looks more appealing as I never use my text messages plus you get more minutes and data.

How does the data roll over work on the Plusnet plan? Is it carried over in 1GB increments?

They use EE's network - You will still have the same problem at home
No data rollover with Plusnet

Roaming started at the end of last month according to my text message.

do plusnet have a app to monitor usage, my daughters are quite good and monitoring their data using using the tesco app

I'm thinking of leaving Plusnet for Sky Mobile, simply because their short SMS codes don't work properly and I can't validate my online banking logins, or update my gas/electric readings by text Other than that they've been ok, although the signal cuts out a lot in my area (personal thing, I suppose)

ok thanks, i will see if the iphone does it, will be handy for the wife as she has the s7

Heat, great deal for tappers

Cheers. Just switched to this from the one I had with them originally from Life Mobile. I had 1.5GB 3G, 1000 minutes and 5000 texts for £5.95 on a rolling contract, this is twice the minutes, same data but 4G not 3G for only 5p more a month. I'll definitely take that, thanks. I'm sure I can live with the reduction of texts from 5000 to 1000 per month...

Thanks OP for posting this, customer service has been super helpful to swap to this tariff, fantastic offer and deal.

Am happy with Plusnet....but....if you ask them to change tariff its hit and miss whether it'll actually be activated on your "anniversary date". They've let me down 2 months in a row along with excuses. Apart from this they're fine.

Anyone known if they do a credit check when applying for the sim?

Yes
minimum £2 and maximum £30

The 5gb of 4g for £10 impressed me ....so I am now a confirmed plusnet customer, or will they give it a few months and start increasing as it is only a 30 day rolling contract?
Fed up waiting for Talktalk mobile to get 4g, then they bumped the prices by 11% in one go a few days ago. Taking the pi**. So I'm off to plusnet.

How did you get that

I took the 3.5GB deal for 8.50 last month. Number transferred ok and everything seems to be ok

we went back to them for the forth time since they were Life, with Life their coverage was very poor, customer service was good but porting terrible, 3 to 8 days for 3 different sims, when they went to Plusnet tried one sim and customer service was awful and sim took ages so cancelled. tried again and after a month sim stopped working and customer service didnt want to know. moved again last week, all good number ported in a few hours, but daughter tells me tonight she is only getting 3G so will try tomorrow and if customer service cant help thats us with plusnet

Awesome deal but I've just paid for this month's line rental... If only I could have this start in 3 weeks or if only this deal would still be around in 3 weeks.

That won't be a problem when I changed last time the new plan didn't start until I came to the end of the 30 days of the old plan

Just dial 500 from your mobile, I'm assuming you are with plusnet but on another plan as that is the way it come across from your earlier post

Quick question, if this is EE, would I need to unlock an EE phone to use the plusnet SIM?

In that case you will have to jump on this deal before they remove it and just have 2 contracts running at the same time for a few weeks

ios does have monitoring, just goto Data and you can reset the statistics and you can select which apps have access to the data connection.

I am also on the same old Life tariff. Did not think is was worth switching as I struggle to use my minutes. However the 4g may have swayed me.

Plusnet used to be Lifemobile which runs on EE. If you are having signal issues, check Three signal cause they do £9 (£10 now but still probably available through USWITCH/TCB) for 4GB and Unl min.

Yes it was with Life Mobile i have one to and had it over a year now.
It was a mistake on the website and life at the time let us have it at £1 month and its just carried on from life to Plusnet.
Its only 3G data not 4G but still works fine.
