Saves 30%. Plus, 30p goes to the Royal British Legion

Next Monday is Armistice Day, so now's the time to consider buying a poppy if you want to pay your respects to the war dead.

If you'd like to have a go at growing your own poppies, you can buy seeds now for planting next spring. They'll flower in time to mark 100 years since the start of World War I (28 July 1914).

Go to Park Promotions and get 2,000 poppy Flanders seeds for £2 (usually £2.80ish). What's more, it'll donate a generous 30p from every sale to the Royal British Legion.

The offer ends on Mon 11 Nov or when all 10,000 packs have sold, whichever's soonest. Park says it'll start sending out seeds from Mon 18 Nov.

Are you kidding me? Please tell me I have misunderstood? No one wants war and this is definitely not advocating it and couldn't be further from it.

We will remember them.

I'm sure the many victims of mass genocide, invasion and occupation will agree.......

Of course buy a poppy too, but this could be a lovely way to remember, 100 years on - sown on any scale. From cottage garden to green community space/wasteland area
