This is a fantastic jacket, I tried it on in the Berghaus store and its the only light weight breathable waterproof, in my experience that looks half decent, it has a much more fashionable cut than anything I've seen and the quality is superb.

Use voucher code to get this price.

I've held off buying it because of the price, does anyone know how it compares to the much much cheaper helly hansen deal posted earlier?

This is cheaper at Simply hike but they are out of stock
and before anyone says this one, it is the wrong jacket, 2008 doesn't come in these colours:

check out the berghuas website for more details on the jacket

helly hanson stuff is garbage quality - also for chavs only

The only truly breathable waterproof (nothing's %100 waterproof ) above Goretex, Epic, ripstop silnylon, etc. is eVent fabric. Get one from Rab though pricier and not necessary off trail. Personally I'd get this if on sale for less than £60 as a 2nd choice.

Lol I think i'd rather be called a chav and save 80 notes with helly hanson:P

Who do you think buys Berghaus, Most designer/fashion brands have been highjacked by Chavs/Neds the only rainproof jackets I've never seen them wear is TRESPASS & REGATTA and NORTH FACE jackets are just for Grown up Chavs, So who cares as long as it keeps you dry and warm and at least all the kids will think your cool and down wit it man!!:-D

I got a pair of eVent gloves from TK Maxx for £9.99 RRP £29.99 best gloves I've ever had.

If you do a lot of serious outdoor stuff - hiking etc then Berghaus and North Face are the best by far. Goretex if you can afford it but then you're looking at the £150-£300 price range. Their cheaper lines (Aquafoil, HyVent) have their own version of it which are a good compromise.
I had a Berghaus Aquafoil coat that lasted me £15 years. I've now got a North Face HyVent which is 3 years old and still going strong and I go out in all weathers.

Not seen the chavs down my way with Berghaus yet....yet....

Sprayway are in no way inferiour to Berghaus, the other way around or level pegging at best. And yes, Berghaus and The North Face have been taken over by the Yoof of today, but thats mainly down to them marketing themselfs for the market and dumbing down for it too. They have lost a lot of credibility because of it.

The day Rab, Mountain Equipment, and Mountain hardware (who where basicly the brains behind Sprayway who left because they where dumbing down) start to be worn by the Hoodies, Chav's and Neds is the day I hang up my Crampon's! heh heh

So below minus 100 degrees for the cheapest price on the internet, that can't make sense? That Rab stuff looks great, any links to some particularly recommended jackets on sale? Thanks

It doesn't make sense, this is a good price for a paclite but people are missing the point about this jacket. It's very light and you can roll it up and stuff it in your rucksack easily . The same could be said about a p.v.c. pacamac but this goretex material breathes.
If you want something for the high street though, buy something cheaper, you don't need the low weight / performance of a paclite.

Welcome to lets vote everything cold thats not going to save you 2p on a tin of beans deals.com or I can't find it cheaper elsewhere but I'm still voting it cold because I don't go hiking/walking/climbing and this is of no interest or appeal to me.co.uk, Don't worry about it if this saves someone who can appreciate the quality of this jacket a few pounds then you've done a good job in my books, Everyones quick to moan but slow to find a cheaper price.
