Nice to see a proper bike posted. I have done 10500 miles on my 2.5 year old Kona, very pleased with it.

this was my bike of choice a few years back but could afford the £750 price tag. still cant afford it, but its a cracking bike.

I use a Kona for XC and find it very good. At £550 this bike is fair for the spec but there are a few other cycle stores selling for the same amount, so unfortunately not a mega deal.

Also, many of the bigger bike stores will have certain 2009 bikes at 50% off or less soon - Evans, for example, has it's annual up to 80% off warehouse clearance sale in May or June (IIRC) - this is normally in one location though therefore limited to those near by.

Excellent bike for the money - if I was after a new hard tail I'd be tempted by this.

It was at Gatwick / Crawley last year for those who can get there - worth a trip

If your company is taking part in this cyclescheme.co.uk/ then you can get the 2010 model for £510

Or the bike in the deal for just under £30 a month (£355)* plus your final payment to buy the bike from your employer.

It's cheaper than smoking...

* very roughly, and this assumes that you're a 20% taxpayer and that the dealer has added the 10% charge by cyclescheme.co.uk back onto the reduced price of the bike - he's allowed to make a living, don't forget! If he's prepared to absorb the cost, you're saving even more.

As someone said above, nice to see some worthwhile bikes appear on here that represent proper deals.

I've ridden Konas since the mid 90s and would recommend them to anyone. Usual rules apply though - test ride it and make sure it fits!

Identical spec to the Lisa HT just picked up for the missus...

Hmmmm His'n'hers Konas:friends::friends:

Hers was cheaper still though....

Nice bike !
