If only I had the money... :-(

Ahh another HUKD car thread. I shan't bother commenting on this one, just going to sit back and laugh at the crap the usual self appointed car experts will come out with.

anyone have a code for free postage?

Just be aware that CX-7's and CX-9's have had problems with paintwork.
My CX-9 had horrendous issues with the paint covering plastic parts (bumpers and mirrors)
I got it re-sprayed under warranty (It was only 4 months old!) . I know 3 other people who have had similar problems. 2 CX-7's and 1 CX-9.
3 of us have Mica Black paint and one has a metallic blue.

this is a fantastic car, test drove one last summer.

great price as a second hand one with a year and 12k on the clock often goes for more than this.

Any ideas how you would pay for this?

Nope!

Buy the way this is a great car (if a little thirsty) that never sold very well and there is a deisel due out very soon hence the huge discount!

Try this:

Take note that this is the (now discontinued) petrol engine - current/latest edition runs on diesel.

yes, I've used this plenty of times before, it's a completely genuine site and fantastic.

the online dragon's den dragon Shaf Rasul is an investor in Boffer.

Fantastic, as i've said before.

Looks lovely in this colour

Why havent they just discounted through the main dealers??? Or auction them off?

The 2.3 turbo is a fantastic engine, incredibly cheap at £14k new in the CX-7.

It's basically a Mazda 6 MPS without the LSD, great bargain.

I thought so  my uncle has one in the middle east. Good cars for there pricing.

Is anyone actually checking the link.. :P

road tax band L = £400+ per year!!

Seems like a good deal for this type of car-needs a couple more seats to tempt me. Cheap even if it is going to be discontinued.

Something fishy here!http://tiny.cc/gQqc1

I disagree. Most manufacturers have fire sales from time to time.

As someone pointed out, they aren't selling a Petrol version any more and they may well have lots of stock to get rid of.

Maybe they just didn't sell!

I remember a few years ago Vauxhall admitted they had a few thousand Omegas that they forgot in a field. They sold them off for somewhere around £9k brand new. That was an unregistered £25k car. Hence the reason you see quite a lot on 03 and 53 plates and yet they stopped marketing them in 2002.

That has to be some impulse buy !!!

Does anybody know the official fuel consumption figures for this car? I have tried searching the web and can't find any figures anywhere!

We are due to get Mobility payments soon (Dec 1st) and instead of taking a mobility plan car we want to buy our own with the monthly allowance. This will mean that we do not have to pay road tax so if it is not too bad on fuel then this may be a good bargain for us

From the Channel 4 Car review.
"Fuel consumption of 27.7mpg doesn't sound too disastrous, but we suspect in real-life driving conditions you'd be lucky to see 25mpg"

" Fuel economy suffers though - the claimed figure is 28mpg, but unless you stick to mainly motorways it's difficult to achieve this."

So ?

Road Tax is such a tiny fraction of your yearly fuel/insurance/servicing/repair/breakdowncover/depreciation bill that an extra £100-£200 over the norm is utterly irrelevent.

dont get me wrong it's a hot deal, I'm just irked at the tax bands:w00t:

It's a poor car, that's why Mazda haven't sold any. There are much better cars out there to spend nearly £15k on...Mazda's are such cheap crap anyway.

If you can afford to fuel/tax it then this really is a bargain. So much car for the money. The only reason they are such a rare sight on our roads is the fuel consumption as they are a good car. If you are a low mileage driver or have a company petrol card then this has got to be worth a look.

Seriously looked at this car for my wife a while back although didnt buy.....quite friendly with the dealer having bought from him before and he said not to expect more than the high teens in and around town/city so fairly thirsty vehicle, tax bracket certainly a downside also, on the up side it goes like stink for a car in this size and price bracket, a very respectable 7 or 8 seconds to 60 I believe. Good spec also, full interior leather as standard, this is an excellent deal for £14k, almost too good to be true.

PS Looks great in the copper red with the stone leather interior!
