Looks like a good price as I was looking at this one on Richer Sounds:

richersounds.com/pro…50b

Anybody know what the differences are between the WT and ET models?

Quite a bit of difference. The WT50 is panasonics top end spec model for last year. Active 3D and 1600hz frame frame as well as freesat HD as well as freeview HD and a better panel.
Good price for the WT50 if you can get stock

Thanks I thought this might be the case, yes its a very good price on richer sounds but still alot of money for me!

What's the difference between this Panasonic plasma and the Samsung 8000 LEDs - is it simply down to personal preference as to picture quality?
I'm after a new telly before the PS4 is released and an upgrade to my current 50 Panasonic plasma as its only 720p....

... This Panasonic isn't a plasma..

Samsung 8000 LEDs are high end tvs in the Samsung line and hence will be higher spec'd compared to the entry level Panasonic ET range (and much higher priced!). I went for the WT50 @£899 mainly due to higher specs and the black bezel (don't like silver). Though at the time 47" ET60 was £899, so I might have made a different choice now (though I love my WT50).

IMO plasmas are too dark/dull and tvs don't look that nice, but if you're a hardcore gamer it'll be better for fast paced games and probably input lag.

Now £959.95 at the link above so cold.
