Following on from the success of pops1975's Costco deal (£2,399.98) for the same TV, I thought I'd post this deal from Richer Sounds.
Yes, it's a little more, but with online availability, a 6 year cast iron warranty and 10 months' "buy now, pay later", it looks a better option to me.
Use the code TV10 for this price (unfortunately, this current offer ends 20/07/2016).

Does your plasma have Dolby Vision, HDR, 4k resolution and pure blacks?
still waiting for the cost of this technology to drop to a reasonable price so I can buy one without selling a vital organ

I am in the market for a new LG OLED 4K TV, I'm pretty tech savvy and understand some of the feature differences but can you kindly help me identify which features increase the cost difference between the two TV'S (except age oviously) as the specs look pretty similar to me. The 55EF950V actually shows better specs in areas such as dedicated GPU, 3D feature etc.

The panels from LG this year are vastly improved, banding is almost non existent now, was horrendous on last years panels, pic processing is a lot better also and they are generally brighter. I have a top of the line 65G6 LG oled and its superb, watching uhd blurays in HDR is something else, we are starting to see a lot of hdr content now with Netflix and Amazon doing this and also Netflix have some stuff in Dolby Vision which just looks stunning, these 2016 LG oleds are the only TV's that can do Dolby Vision at the moment.

No worries. A second kidney isn't vital (unless the other is knackered). Sell sell sell!
So tempted but having to resist until later in the year. Hoping it'll still be around this price if not better by then.

Lets face it, that user knows nothing about tv tech by the looks of it, they are probably very happy with a 400 quid Bush 55" from Argos and thinks it looks just as good as this! And they probably still run it in retina burning dynamic shop mode.
