Last night this was £1,799 on John Lewis' site, I was even going to order it at that price due to the 3 year warranty they have, for some reason it's come down £150 today, so feeling very lucky I didn't order it before!

I haven't seen it this low before and I've been looking for quite a while

My bad it's actually because it's a different graphics card, it's the 570 not 575. So Actually Argos have it cheaper argos.co.uk/pro…240

Pobably due to the new model being released for order on the 14th December ?
I would personally look for one with more than a 1Tb HDD
Wow, this looks like a real bargain - hope it doesn't sell out before I have time to hit that enter key ....

The iMac Pro is a new model of Mac Pro, not iMac.

Is this like the cars thing where it's downvoted because it's expensive?

If you take into account the 3 year warranty you won't find it cheaper anywhere else, isn't that the definition of a deal?

HD would be the last thing on my last of priorities as it's the easiest thing to improve, hell a USB drive would fix that, processor your essentially stuck with.
Do not buy an iMac with a 1TB Fusion drive as they are terrible now that Apple greatly reduced the SSD in them. It’s treacle slow with them in.

Personally I don't think anything is that easy to upgrade in an iMac apart from RAM, and IMO you will reach the limits of a 1Tb HDD before your processor, unless you are doing Gaming or Video Editing/3d Animation etc. Yeah an external HDD is ok, but you have to wait for them to wake, I have a Thunderbolt 3 HDD and still it slows the system down.

It's likely due to the hatred toward Apple nowadays, the crowds are really starting to turn.
I think it's largely due to the fact that they make the largest profit per unit in the entire industry and refuse to budge on prices or pay a fair amount of tax, all whilst having the money to end world poverty, the corporation is seen as greedy.

What compounds this divide is that people that are still on the Apple bus are so passionate about the brand that they will argue all day long to defend it.

Anything Apple gets voted down nowadays due to the unpopularity of the corporation rather than the product itself.

Agree Fusion drive very slow and big let down. Better pay little extra for an SSD except John Lewis don’t offer alternative specs hence are able to offer cheaper price and extended warranty.
So are the fusion drives better on say a 2015 model if they have been slowed down in these ones?
