Troll level 2000 lol
You got a lot of people taking the bait too!
jonathanbaird24/06/2019 19:47

That's a great deal how do I sign up

Just send me your bank details and full address including postcode, along with the name of your first pet, date of birth, and your mother's maiden name. I'll set you up
Although BIK is £22,050, you can buy this car outright for £16,687.

But the predicted residual value (two years and 20k miles on the clock) is £10,975 making the cost of ownership £5,712.05.

So not much in it.

Not in this case, it's purely rental for a specific time period.

Sometimes a person may not genuinely know, and you've just got to be patient and accept the possibility that it may also be a troll.

Average 25% deal so not voted. But new fiesta and focus look excellent for a bang average car. Probably loaded with kit to appease brand snobs.
Think they stand out on the road at the moment
Not a skoda so cold

Absolutely you do. You also qualify for free servicing, road tax and fuel for the rest of eternity.

Still a bit overpriced for me.
Terrible engine, how they can even call it eco when to get anything like decent performance you need to work the engine a joke and your eco goes out the window. Ok to lease I guess but not an engine you want to be owning.

The engine is fine. We have the 100bhp version. Coming from a 340bhp 6 cylinder car the power delivery in my wife's focus doesnt annoy me at all. It's like a mini diesel (except with crap mpg) we have averaged 36mpg mainly town driving over the past 15000 miles

Go on Mark lad
Steer well clear of the new Ford Focus, it has repairability issues that mean if it sustains a front impact it'll be a total loss. Ford are aware of the issue and to date there is no repair method. Thatcham are currently working with them to establish one/change the manufacture process.

Try not to crash would be the advice. Perhaps some GAP insurance too...

Good luck avoiding someone who smashes into the front wings. Or if someone rams into the rear of you and shoves you into the car Infront. Front impacts aren't restricted to head on collisions genius.

Pretty sure most people don't go out of their way to crash, but they expect their car to be repairable if they do.

Insurers are aware of the repairability issues, which is why your insurance will be more expensive than usual as they're grouping it higher/loading it until Ford fix it.

It's only the latest model that's affected btw.

I had a 140 Ecoboost engine and even driving it Miss Daisy I averaged 42-45mpg. I know all cars will achieve below their stated mpg but you're right this engine is terrible.
Thanks for this OP @Chanchi32

Out of interest, what site did you use to find the next cheapest deal?

Sounds like scare mongering to me. I'm getting quotes of 280 with NCB protection. Can't really complain at that.

I would say 42-45mpg is pretty good. Lucky to get 50mpg out of a diesel.

As mentioned previously it's a known repairability issue, not a safety issue, so no VOSA notice exists and never will, nor will Ford openly advertise it. The facts exist on a document communicated to all members of the Thatcham research panel.

I'll leave you all to it now

Pretty common on all the current generation 1l turbo engines. Test drove a civic 1ltr exact same issue, tiny engines to get away with inflated mpg claims and claim lower teac rates. How they get away with it is beyond me

They got away with it. The old NEDC tests were unrealistic. The new WLTP tests from August last year are more realistic.

Depends on how long you want to keep a car. How much you want to spend and how many miles you do it total per year. I love leasing. A new car every 2 years with no worries about repair costs but to others leasing is the work of the devil! This particular deal is pretty good. Not awesome. Have a search on here for the keyword lease. Include expired and you will see a good variety of deals.
More expensive than a A class merc, cold from me, also last yr there where going for £160pm total.
