Bought this a year ago. One of the best tech purchases I've made. This absolutely destroys any laptop I've ever owned. The software is buttery smooth, runs like a dream I honestly cannot vouch for this laptop more. Ignore all the 'lol 8gb ram' comments, it runs smoother than my 32gb ram pc. Not to mention the resell value on this will be high even in 5 years time; if you sell it for £400 in 4-5 years time that's only £400ish to use a great laptop for 4 years. A windows laptop will not only last that long but will be completely worthless in 4-5 years time.

Of course a windows laptop will last that long. You Apple fanatics don't half talk some rubbish.

2020 year 8 gb for £829. Social experiment

Still runs better than a windows though. Brought this as my first Mac 3 years back. No regrets. Won’t be buying a windows again as my personal laptop

Check out the comments on a similar deal just a few days ago. You can get the M2 version of this for around £875 and the Pro M2 for under £999 from an alternative mail order company that give Very Good Prices and offers , especially for new customers. who seem to be getting 20 per cent

    Thanks for this info.

Just be Very careful - if there is any discount code you are eligble to use and you want to use it to get your reduction - either as a new customer of one of their normal offers on the 12 months payment schemes - that you follow the instructions very carefully . It would be very easy to make a mistake and forget to apply the necessary code, in which case you'd not get the reduced price and that would make you very cross.

I bought one of this generation of macs but the pro version, and with 512 ssd, which was brand new (still wrapped inside) with a bashed box corner from amazon warehouse, in the 30% off sale in August 2021. It was listed as "used-very good". It cost me £799 delivered.

This is overpriced for an air. (edited)

HDUK moderators will not allow a link to this company as it offers credit and HDUK are precluded from allowing us “posters “ promoting anything which might involve credit. Like these deals or car leasing deals or similar. But it is Very easy for you to go to their site and from the home page it’s very easy to see what deals are available . Ensure your pop ups are allowed on your browser so any offers turn first time buyers show up on your screen. It’s all very easy

Yes I got an M2 Air 2022 for £890.49 after TCB and voucher code, brilliant deal saved £ off retail price.

Currys will price match this so if you have discount for currys via perks at work or blue light etc you could get 6% off taking it to £779.

Can't see a 6% off offer on Blue Light.

Does anyone know, would there be much difference in performance between this and the 8GB M2 Air, running Fusion360?

Dunno how to compare as just a week ago I upgraded from a 2015 Macbook Air to a 2022 M2 Macbook air.

But for example launching Microsoft word is virtually instant as opposed to maybe 5 seconds on the 2015 model (bouncing icon in dock) and likewise to lauch a file from Word is done in the blink of an eye. The M2 MacBook air is a seriously fast machine

Just got the base model from very for £705 plus 6.8% cashback from tcb so should come in around £650 hopefully, best value by far

I phoned VERY and was informed that if you pay in full using a credit card, you will lose the 20% discount!! Also, as the item is reduced in price, the discount cannot be applied anyway! (edited)
    Avatar
Do you refer to WELCOME 20% discount? You can't lose that, I've already paid in full discounted price. You will lose that extra 10% code only.

Available in silver currently, but pending stock..

What's worrying about this model, is the amount of failures being auctioned off for spares/parts/repairs on eBay! There are loads of M1's that didn't even last a couple of years! That is really surprising, considering how reliable they're apparently supposed to be. Makes me wonder if I should spend the extra and buy the M2 instead? (edited)

My m2 for my daughter arrived today , was £891
    Avatar
Oh WOW! That's brilliant lianparry1. If you don't mind me asking, when did you order it and did you pay in full with your credit card or use the credit agreement? You obviously managed to get the WELCOME 20% discount code accepted. I was told by VERY that I would lose the discount.
