Voted hot. I signed up to this last year and really can’t fault it, I live on the outskirts of a city and always have 4G 40Mb down.

I travel a lot with work and it’s always been fantastic ineurope too. They also include a free app that will log you into a bunch of VM WiFi networks around the country.

The real clincher for me was when we when I got caught up in Hurricane Irma last year and ran up a £250 phonebill trying to sort out a flight back to the U.K. (BA were Terrible).
I ended up having to phone Virgin to pay my balance (they’d frozen the number as it looked like fraudulent calls). Once I explained my situation they immediately wiped the charges from my bill and wished me luck in getting out of Cuba.

I managed to get this a few months back and kept checking my account for ad ons and got a good discount out of pure luck.

Is Virgin mobile coverage really as good as EE?
This could work for me if so
Iv`e found that the data is not so good since we were forced to do a sim swap ( its now Virgin servers not EE apparently?
)
Awesome deal, works out to £11 with TCB

How bad is not good? What speeds are you getting now with the new sim? Thanks
It's unusable data is very slow 7mb to 15mb

No offence, but London is a big place

I've got 73 down and 23 up on Voda before, but not consistently

Iv`e noticed using it abroad is terrible now its a virgin sim. When it used EE I got good speeds, but since the sim swap its virtually unusable abroad
This is why I won’t go to them as everyone you speak to says it’s unusable abroad.

I assume thats 3G/HSDPA speeds, right?

What's Virgin's speeds like in a 4G area?

I get similar speeds on Three when in a 3G area, but it will be a lot quicker than that on 4G.

While those speeds are not amazing, that is a perfectly usable speed to watch YouTube in 1080p, Stream Music and general web browsing.
I can't see the deal...

It is showing as £25, the £15 deal only comes with 4GB.

I'm on EE 4gee. I get 33 down and 1 up. So if virgin us 40 down that's good!
I have VM on my phone and EE on my tablet. Both pretty much the same in terms of browsing, downloading, etc.
I just got the deal in store a few hours ago. Thanks OP

I'm with BT now. Tied into their cable so got a family offer on the mobiles. I was with Virgin previously for years. This sounds like a good deal though so would swap if I hadn't signed with BT for 18 months.

Sorry meant I could not see deal on Virgin site.

For anyone else looking on the Virgin site it still says £25 per month but after adding to basket you get the option to add a £9 per month life discount. Go through Quidco to get the extra cashback.

Just found a direct link here.

No that's on 4G with new purple sim was much better when virgin used EE servers now they are a pile of trash
Stupidly didn't do this last time so made sure to update when it came around again! Brilliant new year start!

Officially no
unofficially yes
Just to make people aware I received the SIM and I tried it in a locked EE iPhone and it did not work gave me the message 'SIM not supported'. Looks like I will be cancelling mine which is a shame because it's a brilliant deal.

My Plusnet SIM works so looks like Virgin do use their own SIMs now.
