Thanks, I really needed one for my panzer.
These will rust from the inside out (quicker than you think) rust and flakey paint clog up your fuel filter!

Potentially causing a breakdown.

Buy plastic ones, No problems!

Interesting facts about legalities of storing petrol.

I.e you are only allowed 30 litres without license (excluding car fuel tank).

Link takes me to £17.99 + £2.95 postage = £21.94. Are they cheaper instore?

Usually selected stores at managers discretion.
£12.99 in Milton Keynes stores saw them yesterday, I had a similar one (not from Aldi but bought from Homebase) i had huge problems with the cap locking mechanism, had the can full of diesel at the petrol station and the cap wouldn't close nightmare ! maybe mine was just a one off fault or i closed it wrong, but i had to bin it.
was worried about the quality my self might be better paying more for good quality and better long life.

That is interesting, I didn't know you were only allowed to store 30 litres at home. I've definitely got more than that, I'll have to store it elsewhere.
Mad to think you can only have 30lt of petrol when I have 2500 litres of heating oil :P

Not really, heating oil isn't explosive like petrol...
Saw these this morning and really wanted a reason to buy one.

Brexit. A fuel shortage is one of the scenarios deemed most likely in that home office report that leaked the other week.

Always wise to filter anything coming out of a storage container especially metal ones, as mentioned they rust and water can contaminate the fuel! I use a Mr Funnel filter and it's brilliant well worth the price sorts all crap and water etc before getting into whatever you're filling.

No idea of the quality of these Aldi ones, but the ones I bought from Halfords nearly 18 years ago are good as new and I've used them loads.

I rather suspect at this price the metal on these will be thin as a hen's face.
Are these any different? Price because of the brand?
