Hi guys!

I hope it will help some of DIY lovers to save a few £s. Super cheap saw unit, no battery or charger included but as far as I know they are quite often in-store anyway and you can use them for a range of tools.
Found in Norwich shop (Hall Road) which got plenty of them.

Without a battery and charger these are pretty much useless. Good price if you have a broken one and already have the battery and charger though.

Aldi do a lot of "system" tools without battery or charger these days, just like the big name brands. The batteries & chargers are usually always in stock.
The saw that gives back! Heat!
Absolute bargain
This will be store specific.

I think these are made by Positec (who also make WORX and others). They do modify the battery platform so they aren't interchangeable with WORX but can be made so with a small modification. I wouldn't recommend that risk at normal price but at £7.99 it's probably worth it if you have a WORX based kit.

Cancel that - I don't think it applies to the dual voltage 20v/40v platform.

OK fair enough. I see the batteries and chargers are available @ £15 each so I guess £38 all in isn't too bad.
Incredible value
Do these take any other brand batteries eg dewalt or makita
Will be store specific, damn one near me never does anything like this
Aldi have a habit of selling battery tools without supplying them in store at the same time.
What's the RPM on this? Is it good enough to cut catalytic converter off a Prius. Asking for my friends Bogdan and Florin.

A recip saw for 7.99... am I the only one who finds the idea of this slightly scary? Especially selling it to Joe Public and his merry DIYers?
Don’t get me wrong, 7.99 is a good price... but I think I’ll save the £8 and keep my fingers instead!

Also, the battery from their other tools don't fit this
