Great price for 3 weeks and you will need that car hire because it is a bit out of the way & public transport isn't great

Yeah Thats what i though and even when you put that on the price its still only £778 per person

Not keen on location or hotel, but voted hot as pirce is great

3 weeks is a bloody long time to spend in LA. I ran out of things to do in under a week. Great price though!

echo the words of j2hot. 3 weeks in LA is ridiculous. You need to go around California and Nevada if you're spending 3 weeks in that part of USA

3 weeks in LA?! :O

Hot from me.8)

That's the beauty of hiring a car , there's more than enough to see

Of course the price is great but just how many of us can go at this short notice and how many people have their holidays now?

With the company I work for my leave year starts in march so would be ideal for me but I'd imagine most peoples leave year starts in January

LA for 3 weeks and in THAT location is one of the strangest suggestions I have come across in a long time. You see people doing this when they have left school, have moths to travel, no clue what to do, need time to get around in LA without car and often learn the language.

If you can afford the flight and a few hundred for a hotel and car you don't want to spend 3 long weeks in LA. We are not talking about travelling in Southern California, Vegas and the canyons here but the offer as such makes absolutely no sense..

As suggested before first time visitors don't even need more than one week. Get a car (I recommend Hertz and only Hertz), stay somewhere nice and do your sights.

great price, loads of things to see and do in L.A ... a visit to the Queen Mary boat is well worth a visit. If your hiring a car then its only about a three and half hour drive to Las Vegas and a hotel for a night there will be cheap if you go mid week, there's a wolf sanctuary just outside L.A and can easily get to some of the national parks. or go to Disney at San Diego from L.A if you have a car.

Nice to hear someone talking a bit of sense

LA is not a great base to do anything other than hang around LA. Getting in and out of LA during peak times is atrocious and the traffic and American drivers will literally drive you up the wall.

I had a week in LA and a week in Palm Springs - from Palm Springs, driving to San Diego for the day is fine. This is as a good price though. There are plenty of bus excursions going on in LA though, once you've been to the usual tourist traps - Universal, Venice Beach, Disney, Chinese Theatre etc.

And you never know - in three weeks you may even get discovered!

Whilst this is a good price for anyone specifically looking for a 3 week holiday to Los Angeles for whatever reason, I don't think it is fair to label any opinions that don't match yours as nonsensical. Just because opinions differ from your own, doesn't make them wrong.

And in my opinion, three weeks is still a long time to spend in the LA area for a 'standard' travellers holiday, taking into account traffic, 'living costs' etc etc. It's just a bit of advice given to people who may be thinking of booking - whether they choose to take it is their own choice.

yes I agree that the traffic is bad, but we left early mornings and avoided it each time, if you go at peak times then there will be huge traffic queues. the only time we got caught up in the traffic was when we came from the airport ( certainly was huge queues). And another great place to go is Santa Monica pier and of course see the great historical start or finish ! route 66. we went early in the morning and had breakfast on the pier.
this really in my opinion is a good deal and depending on budget and what people like then there lots to do and see and places to travel to. lots of amazing places to eat.... famous Daves bbq is amazing as is Bubba Gump Shrimp

ah nothing to do but drinking in LA

Let's see....LA....you got Hollywood, and em..em em...that's it !

To live and die in LA, it's the place to be, you gotta be there to know it, what everybody wanna see...

word up homies! I'd go for 3 weeks in LA at that money....heat

Type your comment here...At that price even if you onlt spent a week in the hotel and the rest of the time exploring other parts of the west coast its v.cheap

Wouldn't really advise staying in the same hotel for 3 weeks. It's a bit bland!

I did a 3 week fly-drive in Southern California a few years ago, and never stayed at the same hotel for more than 3 nights. We went as far as Chula Vista 2 miles from Mexico, and as far north as San Francisco covering approx 3000 miles from memory.

Couldn't agree more. San Francisco to LA is the way to go driving down the PCH but it's not going to happen for this price.

Amazing place, wonderful deal. Wish I could just book it and go. Heat added.

Personally I'd use the 3 weeks to do all round California, SanFran, Yosemite, death valley, then head out to Las Vegas grand canyon, monument valley, head down to San Diego...

21 days in LA is fine. We didnt run out of things to do and you cal also venture further if you like. At worse, its a beach holiday without the usual drunk Brits falling over the place

I think its a great deal. I like to explore places and plenty of walks and trails in the hills, with the temperature just right for walking. So, some walking, sightseeing, sunbathing, great food and shopping at at time when the dollar is the highest it's been in a while. Perfect. Stick to commenting on the price of the deal - not whether you would personally like to go there for 3 weeks.

Personally I loved LA and would love to go back but you DO need a car.

This really is a pointless post unless you can show us a 3 week deal to those places for the same price.

Hollywood is a dump, largely speaking. Go there to say you've been, but there are lots of other places in an around LA that are worth seeing.

Good price so heat, even if you factor in checking out a week or so early and looking around San Fran, San Diego, PCH, Yosemite, etc.

I spend a month each year in San Diego
Anywhere in So Cal is great for a few weeks as you get to know locals , try out new things, explore, chill out etc
3 weeks in LA is good if you're creative. The Getty museum is a must see and silver lakes is a great drinking hang out friendly place and six flags is an amazing theme park

Wow. Staying near South Central LA, that'd be brave. If you can handle sleeping through the sound of police sirens all night and remain unperturbed when speaking to cashiers through noticeably tested bulletproof glass, this is the location for you. Otherwise, you can currently get to LA from £456 rtn, which leaves you approx £340 extra to budget for a hotel/motel.

Disneyland. Universal. San Diego, Carmel. Oxnard, Hearst Castle, Monterey, Catalina, Palm Springs, Phoenix, Montezumas Castle, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas Use it as a base. Loads to see and do. Internal flights to vegas etc dirt cheap if you don't want to drive that far.

1.5 year I was waiting for this 21 nights LA deal.
And finally, my gf has expired passport!

3 nights was to much for me

This has to be the strangest deal Ive ever seen on here. I went to LA for 5 nights last year and by the final day my Girlfriend and I had done absolutely everything and was thinking about things to go back and see.

Also the price here is ridiculously deciving. First of all you NEED a car in LA, ours cost us £200 for 5 nights (a convertible) so god knows how much it would cost you for 3 weeks to rent one.

Secondly, LA is very expensive. Youll be doubling, maybe even trippling the price of your holiday in spending money over that period. We booked most of our things in the UK prior to leaving and I think I still managed to rake up about 7/800 quid over 5 days and that only included one proper restaurant meal.

Hot uk deals is getting stupid at the minute with these "deals".

Also that hotel is in a terrible location for LA. Its not near any attractions.

Closest thing to it is venice beach and your looking at a half hour drive for that during off peak times.

Look for a hotel in the Hollywood/Universal areal. We stayed in the Hollywood hotel on Vermont Av. Basic hotel but very cheep and great location

3 weeks is a long time for LA but there's nothing stopping you spending a few days in San Fran/Vegas etc if you are driving. Ok so you'd spend additional money on hotels but when you're on the west coast of the US these places are well worth a visit!
