Just for consideration Lidl will have one on sale for 99.99 next Thursday.

From what I understand the Lidl one will have a double bevel, more powerful and a bigger cut area?

Any thoughts on this vs the evolution from screwfix for a beginner diy-er?

Evolution all the way, you can cut most materials with ease...... Pvc waste pipe, copper pipe... Etc

Just make sure its set up correctly ie the angles as most saws from the factory need checking....

I cannot more highly recommend evolution for DIY enthusiast. I use mine for most projects and it's a beast.

Thanks, this might have swayed me. I was considering the £99 Lidl one that's coming up next weekend. The evolution is £150, comes with a free blade (worth £20) and I've got a £15 off voucher, so only £15 price difference really.

I thought this was some kind of lego spaceship when i first saw it lol.
Screwfix we’re doing the Dewalt DWS773 for £150 a few weeks ago, worth asking in store.

And more likely than not a 3 year warranty.
Remember it's the blade that makes it. Bad blade, bad cut
Plus 10% off trade discount
Too much of a choice
Is the lidl one any good?

There’s a few on the Screwfix site, which one do you have? Could do with a decent saw for my scrap/pallet wood projects.
£80 for a sliding dual compound mitre saw is a bargain
