The Asda 3 for tenner is better imo simply because they have a better selection of good wines, some of them are really really good. Still dirt cheap wine shouldn't be sniffed at, (generally because it smells like vinegar) so this is hot from me.

Well done. A real bargain. Not my taste in wine but still a real hot deal. Heat added.

Costs £1 a bottle in france, tastes like it too!

The Jacobs Creek Semillon Chard is in this deal and usually in the Asda deal and isn't a bad drop of wine and normal nearly £6 a bottle.

Had 2 glasses earler on and it tasted ok, sent my wife for a further 9 bottles, at £2 a bottle how can I go wrong.

Oh yea.. we're not in France and I'm not a wine conossiuer. Blue nun taste ok to me. :whistling:

The Gallo White Grenache is lush, and at usually £5.79 a bottle an absolute bargain. Damn shame that every time I've been into Tesco in the last few days they've been sold out!

is this deal available online

No, I did check.

Gorgeous wine, total bargain!!!!

Well done you OP for bagging such a fab deal and sharing it with us, many thanks!

I can see lots more wine snobbery coming.
Everyone likes different things. Some people hate parsnips others love em (just like marmite.) Personally I hated the taste of a £15 bottle and have liked some others. I normally buy bottles for £4-5 but get some I like and some I love. Wine tasters can tell you how much its worth because they can identify the wine. They can't tell you if you will like it!
Well done on the deal great find.

I think you'll find everyone loves parsnips

Looks like a good deal, going to be some half decent wines in there!

Well, maybe you'll think I am a wine snob... but anyway: you are only partly right. You are totally right when you are talking about tastes. Peoples can like whatever they like. Great. I am totally with you there. Where you loose the plot is when you try to claim that the only reason wine tasters rate a wine is because they can identify it hence know it is expensive and they are just being price snob. That part is rubbish. Wine tasters have learned to taste much more subtle flavour in wines than the average person. As such, they will notice and appreciates slight difference that will go unnoticed by other peoples. They will get annoyed at acidity, lack of depth, etc that might get ignored by other peoples.

Compare that to say a professional, well trained painter. He would dislike some amateur painting attempt because the perspective is just a little wrong and the proportions of persons are just a bit off. The layman might just find it pretty because he likes the way it looks (or even it goes well with the colour of the walls). Would yo say the painter is being snob? The layman that puts it on his wall because it matches well is perfectly allowed to like it. That's his choice. That's his taste. But the trained painter could not live with it in his home because every time he'd looked at it, the technical deficiencies of the painting would hit him straight in the face. Would he be a snob if he was trying to explain to a layman that is shopping for a painting with him that the cheap one is technically deficient? Similar thing with music. A conservatory trained musician will notice weakness in songs that the average peoples will ignore. That's not snobism either.

Note: I am not saying that this is a bad deal. Just that there are difference between wines, it is possible to taste it and that there are other reason than snobbery that can explain why a bottle of wine is more expensive than another one.

Just tested it at the Tesco nearest to me.

Tried to buy 6 bottles of JP Chenet Blanc, and only got the 3 for £10 deal, with an extra 5% off for buying 6 bottles.

No sight of 25% off...
