Thinking of buying this for bedroom for my Mum is it any good???? - don't think she'll be using the iPod dock lol

My kids have one of these in their room. Nice little tv for the money

If I was needing a 22" I think I'd go for it, I don't really follow TV prices but I'm pretty sure a tv with freeview AND dvd even without the ipod dock is well worth £147! My friend bought an LG 22" with freeview for £200 a couple months back and thats without any of the extras!
Tempted to get one myself but I don't really have any room for it! lol

I just cancelled my boffer order for the same TV without ipod dock and ordered this one

Can this be wall mounted? (just asked the same question in the duplicate post that has just appeared!)

svp.co.uk/dis…tml

^^ This is a different product from the same company and it states "not wall mountable". So because this tv doesn't say that I would guess that you could, but I'm not 100%. The base does look fairly built in though

Monitor sized TVs are getting silly cheap. Personally waiting for a 24 incher at 1920x1080 at a good price.

This TV: Inputs:

Scart (for your PS2 or legacy audiovisual device)
HDMI (for your PS3 or XBox360)
VGA (for the cheap netbook you bought from a link here)
PC Audio
S-Video In
Audio In
YPbPr (Component, for your Wii, or use the SCART)

So lacking DVI-D for a computer unless you use a DVI-D -> HDMI cable.

does this play avi, xvids please ?

How is this one ....... says full HD on the tin

Its product code starts with "UMC". UMC and Technika are the same brand, and you can see a description of this TV at Tesco ]http//di…spx though the Tesco one suggests a 700:1 ratio. It also states that it is VESA 100 compatible for wall mounting.

This is also pretty similar - perhaps newer? ]http//ww…gle There are several not-so-complimentary reviews there, too.

Also available at Tesco ]http//di…spx with a link to Reevoo reviews. Seems like a good alternative if you don't really need the DVD player. If you do, hook up a cheapie...

What relevance is the iPod connector; what will that allow? Can I play video podcasts and movies from my iPhone on this?

This looks similar to one being sold by Tesco recently... I think that one was wall mountable, but maybe only on an arm because the Ipod dock couldnt be removed and therefore as this is the base it wouldnt go flat agains the wall... The Tesco one did allow you to play the video one from the iPod on the tele... good price, but may be worth checking Tesco out as well, particularly if you're not bothered about the dock...

Not sure if wall mountable but the iPod dock is built into the base. If you could wall mount, I doubt you'd be able to dock.

Does the iPod dock mean you can play iPod videos/movies through the TV?

Has anyone order this received theirs yet? Or even as much as a shipping notice? I can't get jack sh* out of SVP and certainly won't be using them again in the future...

Guess I was the only one falling for this, but anyone received theirs yet? I received mine yesterday (finally!) and either they send me the wrong model, or they are advertising the wrong model, but it was the UMC 22" LCD TV with build in Freeview and DVD player, but no iPod dock.

Have left them a message and complained.
