Why cold?

Ahhh this might be a good time to send the president of the bank of Nigeria's dead uncles nephew his transfer fee so that I can get the 6 million pesos sitting in his Mexican account....

Why cold?

Renowned for dodgy transfers from dodgy sellers on-line. I have been done once before, albeit I sent the money and never received my goods, luckily it was only £15.

If you are sending to someone you know then I would say its hot

Me too, I better pay quick before you get your hands on the money first!

It's actually quite good for what it is. I certainly use it for my business.

No reasons for the cold votes, this is a great deal for newcomers! Just don't send money to someone you don't trust.

never used it before, but now would be a good time.

Send me £50, I'll send it back and we will both earn the money...honest guv!

Can you send it to yourself?

Probably yes.

Wonder will it work on a UK IBAN.

Come on guys, this is actually useful to those with relatives abroad who send remittances, or though like me who pay freelancers who have already sent in their work and need paying. Although that said Western Union is usually way more expensive than alternatives like TransferWise, or even Moneygram

my favourite method of payment on ebay

Get yourself scammed and then get paid for it !!!!!

Western Union the bank for crooks and scammers.

& pirates

Wouldnt use them again there exchange rates are poo, and your card gets blocked from using them everytime.
also you have to keep calling western union up to get the funds sent as they keep it on hold for days on end

You can transfer with in UK. let's play pass the parcel.

fee is £3-£5

Cashback available through TCB too

I have twice been declined through TCB for sending my son money in Australia so don't bet on a payout from Western Union

I want to open an account with quidco but can't
