This's the second monitor with a 'scary' looking stand - for me (the other was the recent Samsung on HUKD).

Are these stands ok? On other forums I've read users complaining about them.

Other than that looks like a great monitor!

Good price - but I agree that the stand look ugly. I'm also worried that unless it is properly weighted it won't be able to balance the monitor!

Well my gran used to stay "no need to look at mantle when stoking the fire". Think this applies here in an upside down kinda way.

Excellent screen and for the money I can't fault it, but you are right about the stand. It wobbles if there is any movement in the room. Our internet machines at work have these monitors and a couple of the earlier 22" ones. Bought because they are cheap but good.

Did you have to post this, oredered one yesterday for £105.79 off today only page.:x

Although It came with a compositor ]http//ww…ock worth £3.44 :whistling:

Hmm, nice price. I'm going to vote hot, but never heard of the brand, fugly stand, lack of DVI. Still, great price.

But it has DVI  Did you mean HDMI ?

I've bought several digimate monitors in the past and been well pleased. I did have one, bought for a friend develop a fault after he had had it for some considerable time but it was fixed under warranty no problem. The most recent one I purchased was a 22" glossy job and that is excellent.

I've recently bought an Acer Revo, and it has HDMI. If I use an HDMI to DVI cable for this, will I lose sound? Any insight would be appreciated!

There's a review here which states this isn't HDCP compliant and therefore you can't use it with a Blue Ray player. Not sure if that applies to all HDMI output or specifically Blue Ray.

Not a bad review, especially considering the rating was given with a retail price of £144, not £104.

That is correct - lack of HDCP means that HDCP encoded blu ray video will be degraded to DVD quality. Using a PC to play blu rays will produce the same results too.

As for sound from the Acer Revo, it will not be transmitted through DVI. The Acer Revo has optical out though.

Received mine today, pretty impressed. No dead or stuck pixels, the stand does flex a lot , however without contradicting myself not in a falling over way. I.e. it flexes in the upright section, not pivoting on the flat base i.e. rocking. (If that makes any sense )
