Just spotted this deal on CPC Farnell as a part of their Black Friday deal.

Selling for £34 on Amazon and £45 on Ebay so looks like a good deal.

Good deal including all three devices. If you live in London, you may be able to get the smoke alarm for free here

london-fire.gov.uk/Hom…asp

other brigades across the country have similar schemes so check your local one too.

Very good deal, nice find.

£8.72 for 1 smoke alarm on amazon so not that good.

Doesn't matter on the price. You can't put a price on safety

This price is for 2 smoke alarms (8.72 x 2 = £17.44) and Carbon Monoxide Alarm which is usually £15 so roughly £32 separately.

Just be aware that these are all sealed units so no access to batteries. My own experience and many reviews on amazon says the battery can run out after a few months and Kidde will do their best to weasle out of the warranty requiring you pay for return postage upfront (£5.40! what is made of?) and pay for return of faulty unit.

Personally, I would never buy one without access to batteries again. YMMV.

Nice one ,been thinking of ordering new smoke alarms as ours have been up years
Especially with Xmas and all the lights up
Or in reality ..... if the missus burns the turkey whilst im drunk on the sofa

The thing with the CO alarm is with a smoke alarm you can see what is causing it (toast) and go deal with the problem.

If the CO alarm goes off what are you going to do, go stand outside and call a gas engineer out? No, you are going to debate for five minutes and then silence it and hope the whole thing blows over. So they are effectively a waste of time unless they warn you of imminent, severe CO problems instead of just using a hob or woodburner.

Rubbish. Sorry for being blunt, but I've had a number of CO alarms and they've never gone off, but if they had I would have spent some real time looking for the cause. No where near enough people have CO alarms, and its the invisible killer.

Heat for OP. I have a £20 CO alarm, but would buy this pack if I didn't.

VERY good to double check you've got enough alarms going into the Xmas period when people will likely have loads of candles and fairy lights increasing risks...... get them checked folks.

In that case I have some wonderful alarms you can buy. Only 20 grand each thanks.
Everything has a price. Including safety.

Just rolled into work and they are here already
Nice one cpc32494661-roCLu.jpg
