Still, not sure I'd tie in to a long contract with a Huawei now - not really sure which direction the whole Android thing is going to go with them. Whilst right now it seems fine, a safer bet would be another brand.

The P30 Pro is the last in line that will have full support from Google and Huawei until they complete their genital measuring exercise with Trump.

Excellent deal I think to go with an excellent phone
Good deal considering the sim free price.
Good amount of data and the usual poor signal issues are mitigated with WiFi calling which I believe 3 has.
I would normally go down the redemption cashback route but the landscape has changed. There is no telling which companies will survive this meltdown and come through on the other side.
I'm even wary of the big players when it comes to redemption cashback.
Heat from me.

It is a shame the cashback deal from huawei has expired now
The p30 pro sold by fonehouse is a 6gb ram phone and not the standard 8gb ram.

True. Most likely the dual sim model too

No, I have a 128Gb 8Gb model (from O2). Confusingly, all 3 models of the P30Pro have both a 6 & 8Gb variation in 128Gb.

Well thats the current stance, but why risk any potential changes to that statement and just go for another phone? Plenty out there. I'm not hating on the phone - it's great - but I wouldn't advise any friends/family to lock in with anything Huawei now.
Wife's current Three deal is up this week and this works out better than what they are offering on their own website.
I'm not au fait with contracts as I've always been sim free. How does it work switching her current number to this? And is this worth getting or is there something better out there? (She insists on a contract for some reason)

Short answer is you can't port a number from three to three directly. If you wish to do this, you would need to port to a PAYG SIM on another network and then port from there back to three.

Cheers. Had the same problem last time and it was a proper faff.
And for that reason... She's out.
Trying to persuade her to buy on a 0% card and go sim free.

Exactly this is not a good deal. Its wat to exspensive.
I managed to get this deal on the 26th. That was the last day for cash back from Huawei (£120) plus £31.50 cash back from Topcashback made it a great deal IMO.
For those wondering, I ordered using the last deal from Fonehouse + EE, which arrived last week, and can confirm the following:

6GB Ram
Dual SIM model (VOG-L29)

Very disappointingly mine came with a puny 2.0A bog standard charger, which is ridiculous. The phone won't Fast Charge with this adapter....so while the reviews all say it charges in super quick time, it doesn't with the charger that comes with it.
I messaged Huawei to ask what charger it should be supplied with -they didnt even answer the question, just replied that I should buy a new charger from Argos. So absolutely crap Huawei customer service. Fonehouse have failed to respond to my question at all other than to say thay have referred it to management ....so I'm equally unimpressed with their support too.
Lastly battery life is meant to be good but if anyone ever had a Lenovo P2, the battery life on the P30 pro isnt close, which is disappointing.

You do have 14 days to return.

Yep -a couple of days left to make my mind up.

Can anyone else confirm which charger model was delivered with this phone?
Mine is HW-050200B01 5V/2A

I'm fairly sure the P30 (that I returned a couple of weeks ago) came with a larger charger so it's strange the 'better' model came with a lower capacity model.

I got the 5V/2A charger too. Not great, but the superchargers are pretty cheap so think I'll just buy one.

I ordered the p30 pro from affordable mobiles. I will check what they sent me this evening.

Mate, i went through the same as you with Fonehouse but they did offer to send out a new charger for me, then once they relised they had no stock (or that they never did) said they would refund me the cost if i purchased the phone from here:(fonehaus.co.uk/pro…ble)

I decided not to bother and returned. I eneded going for the Affordable Mobile option as it was the same price with no Redemption/ 8gb Ram but only single sim. It does come with the full 40w surper charger though... and for me, that was the technology i wanted.

Regarding the battery life... i find it great. yesterday I got 9hrs SOT with 11% left. Very happy here.
However, i'm not blown away with everything. It is sexy, but i've realised i'm not a fan of a curved screen as my fingers catches the side all the time. And EMUI isn't that great after coming from miui. Main one that come to mind is no quick settings drop down if screen is locked - So when using navigation and phone is locked, you cant pull down the top to check notifications. very limiting

Not good, the single-SIM, 8Gb one I bought from O2 came with the 40W SuperCharger - model: HW-100400B00

There's different speed superchargers too.
Mate 20 pro and P30 Pro charge at 40w.

It is a 40w charger.
The 6gb version comes with a 2a charger (well the european market P30 Pro that they supply anyway)... i got two of them from Fonehouse thinking the first one was a mistake and both came with it.
