First post so please be gentle.

In Morrisons today (Kilmarnock) and theyre selling 24 cans of diet / ordinary Irn Bru for £6 quid a case. Works out about 25p a can. Thought that was a not 2 bad deal.

Unsure if store specific or Scotland / UK

Cheers

Phenomenal.

why is there such a love of the brown in the higher-lands?

You know this stuff contains some real bad chemicals. Most other drinks removed them ages ago, but Irn-bru still has it. Very bad.

I mentioned a few moments ago about those chemicals, including the colour like-ness to lager, and the thread of conversation was deleted. i was responding to a comment of another forumist in the process... love irn Bru btw!

Say, for example you didn't want a 'slab' of irn bru Lidl would be the first place to look in coming weeks for 6 cans @£1.

Yep, also Costco's is £5.

our lidls never stock the cans of irn bru even when theyre on offer, they only ever do the bottles.our morrisons dont sell the 24 packs either.

I think £6 is the norm for a 24 pack?

Have to ask what kind of lager are you drinking if it's ORANGE?

Good but not great. I remember a small supplier selling lots of canned drinks at what must have been wholesale prices at about £5-6 pounds depending on brand. This was 3 years ago though.

Will be having a look in my local morros for these

is that not what makes it so tasty?

im sure your insides are bright orange though

Always thought the recipe was a closely guarded secret?

its some kind of cancer causing colour agent. No other drinks manufacturer uses it, but BARR obviously still do. I love Irn-bru but I stopped drinking it ages ago.

apparently in comparrison to other fizzy drinks irn bru doesnt have as many calories in it. also im sure if irn bru had a cancer causing agent in it it would be banned.

was gutted no irn brew at our farmfoods:x

No it isn't a "cancer causing colour agent"! The production of a food colouring used in Irn Bru (among other things) could have inadvertedly created Sudan 1 (which is illegal and can cause cancer).

Here is some info

I find it funny people remember part of a story from years ago and then post nonsense like this!

Voted COLD as this is £5 in Farmfoods and you get vouchers through the door all the time for Farmfoods (spend £25 save £2.50). Stocked up with 5 slabs for £22.50 yesterday.
