What stands out
  • The 4K picture quality delivers pin sharp, stunningly realistic picture detail
  • It supports HDR content so you can enjoy intensely vibrant colour, detail and life-like realism
  • AMD FreeSync eliminates any stuttering and tearing for even smoother gaming
  • There are plenty of connection options so you can connect to multiple devices at once
  • Reduces blue light emissions to help lessen eye fatigue, so you can game for longer in comfort

The details

This stylish 24 Inch model ticks all the boxes for a budget monitor and even manages a couple of surprises too. Not only does it boast a 4K panel that delivers four times the detail than that of Full HD resolution, it's also loaded with the latest HDR technology, so you can enjoy life-like picture quality with natural highlights, deeper darks and vibrant colours. It's truly incredible to see, especially for a monitor at this price. Plus, with YouTube and gaming going all in on HDR, you can be sure of getting the most from the monitor for years to come.

The stunning visuals are brilliantly supported by AMD FreeSync technology, which matches the display's refresh rate with the frame output of your computer’s display card to eliminate any annoying screen tear and stutter. There's also the option to adjust the low blue effect of the screen to help reduce eye strain, which means you'll be able to play for longer without any discomfort. At the back of the monitor there's plenty of ports for you to quickly connect up your desktop PC or games console, including 2 x HDMI and 2 x DisplayPort. It also comes with a FREE HDMI cable so you can have it set up and ready to go straight away.

Note: To get the best out of the high-end 4K @ 60Hz resolution this monitor provides, we recommended using a powerful dedicated graphics card. Models such as the Nvidia 10 series or AMD RX 5 / Vega series over a HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort connection will deliver the best experience.

It's okay though for console gamers
Cheap as chips.
what panel is it? IPS?

At 9ms it could be. At this price it couldn't be.
... So dunno... Anybody?

Is this FreeSync over HDMI?

According to link

Panel type - VA
explains the response time I guess?
The HDR isn't going to be worth the ink on the box if that's what you buy it for. But very cheap for a 4k screen

You're going to have to sit very close to get the full 4k arnet you?
Pointless resolution at that size
Terrible buy. 4k on that. You'll be touching the screen practically. Gaming... Ha!

Not with these

The monitors response time is 9.5ms which is probably the worst I have seen for a long, long time. ICE COLD.
They have a 27" for £160 with 1ms response time. HOT HOT
A total joke to call this a gaming screen. This screen is marketing nonsense, sticking 4K on a screen too small to benefit whilst missing the mark in response time and frequency by a long way.
VA isn't terrible and has good viewing angles and bright colors just as IPS. 9ms doesn't matter if you don't play any games with fast action

Pointless, none of them can do true native 4K
After my experience of Laptops Direct I feel obliged to tell everyone the hell they put you through when things go wrong. The delivery network they use (DX Delivery) not only delivered my monitor to the wrong address but they also wont tell me who signed for it... going around in circles, it's now 3 days since the "delivery" and laptops direct haven't even investigated after having me on hold a total of 1 1/2 hours to report it missing.

Good to know - PCPartPicker UK quite often lists them as the cheapest supplier for some things (by a few pence, compared to CCL or Amazon), so I think I'll stick them on the avoid list, along with Novatech.

At this point I'd just make a claim with your credit card supplier. I had a similar experience with John Lewis a while ago over the course of weeks, and once I'd contacted Amex John Lewis got it sorted within a day or two without any further hassle.

this could be good side screens for a 3x24" set-up with a real 144mhz 1ms screen and two of these 4k if that's what you need. Not what I'd go for, tho.

Terrible for everything. This monitor cashes in due to being a "cheap 4K monitor", but it's terrible for everything.
No point in posting up as a deal as there's only 10 left.. Unless anyone else can be bothered. But this might be a good alternative:

laptopsdirect.co.uk/ref…asp

Refurbished Acer K242HQ 23.6" 4K Monitor
4ms response time, IPS Panel

A2 Refurbished Grading

  • Products are in good condition
  • Minor cosmetic markings & minimal use

It's not advertised as a gaming monitor, and I can't see anything about FreeSync etc. But still probaboly better than this electriq one considering the response time.
