The vouchers are split into 4 sheets of ‘50p off a pint units', with each sheet having a 3 month deadline. Only one 50p off a pint voucher can be used per visit.

Fair enough.

Really not worth it. Not all will accept them plus it not off all ales

ive been a member for about a year never had any problems with them accepting them at any wetherspoons and if you include what you get at beer festivals you can make money from being a member ..ie either cheaper entrance or a free pint/half ....I would recommend fully

No, that's been replaced with a chunky woollen knit jumper and a pipe....

Is this a deal? I thought this was the normal price for annual membership of CAMRA?

Doesn't have to be a sale price

Wetherspoons will accept a voucher per pint of Real Ale, can use several in one night or day, not just one voucher per visit. Also several pubs will give discount off a pint of real ale ( my local is 10%).
Certain memberships are less than £20 and therefore it is a great deal.
Well worth the annual fee if you love real ale and like wetherspoons pubs.

Completely agree. I've been a member for 4 years and the amount I save on attending beer festivals throughout the year as well as the Wetherspoon discount means the membership pretty much pays for itself. Heated.

Technically you are only allowed to use one JD voucher per visit (stated on reverse). I've always used several though also and have never had a problem. Guess it depends on the pub.

I take a childish pleasure that my small portion of added heat got this to 100.

Sign up to our campaign for real ale and we'll give you vouchers to buy poor ale

makes sense

How does this campaign help with their being more real ale exactly? Seems more like an organization that exists to pay its owners with your money.

isn't this like signing up to the Michelin guide to restaurants, and then getting burger king vouchers?

Some good real ales in 'spoons

Heat given - member myself although I disagree with what CAMRA stand for at times!

Voucher acceptance can be dependent on the pub visited although they are all supposed to accept them. Not valid for use during December though.

It's not just about weatherspoons , also many camra pubs are discount anything from 20p off up to £1 off a pint so it is worth it if ur an alcoholic

I've nothing against CAMRA or Wetherspoons as such as both have had some positive effect on promoting ale, but there does seem some irony in CAMRA heavily promoting a large organisation, who whether you like them or not, can only have an adverse effect on numerous small pubs; the very pubs that CAMRA claims to protect, as they cannot possibly compete with the buying power of Wetherpoons.

Can these be used with the real ciders? I love the Black Dragon :-)

If it was in association with smaller establishments and not the horrible disease like wetherspoons id jump.

I was booking a cottage holiday last year and this membership saved me over £100. Paid for itself several times over

what is the benefit of joint membership? 2 sets of vouchers?

Thinking the same, not an ale drinker but love a good cider.

Can't be bothered using a voucher every pint just to save 50p, sounds a lot of bother.

They come in 4 sets of 3 months. Each set has to be used by the end of the 3 month period.

Wrong site mate. Try ihaveloadsofmoney.com

Don't forget your spouse/husband/wife etc can have joint membership with you for an extra £4.50 per year.

They he/she can use the 'spoons vouchers when they buy their round!

You obviously know nothing about real ale.
Wetherspoons sell elland porter 1872 which was voted best real ale of 2013 and best winter ale of 2015, (I know its not winter yet)

The vouchers can be used for multiple purchases. all you do is hand them over. No filing anything in.

Wetherspons try to sell beer at reasonable prices unlike some of the rip off pubs you go into.

Come back when you have something useful to say.

Agreed Wetherspoon's are pretty good for real ale and generally are reasonably priced too. I just wish though the UK hadn't gone down the megapub route and people were paid decent, fair wages (not that zero hours contract **** spoons have got involved with) so they would be able to afford to go to local pubs. Then there would be no need for this cut price wetherspoon's booze milarky.

Too many good pubs have closed and although lots of things were to blame (the rise of supermarket booze for one) I can't help but feel that businesses like Spoon's are partly to blame given they often convert buildings into pubs, pushing out the well established local competitors and dare I say it, the 'real pubs'.
