Had this for a while, paid £189 for it, amazing monitor.

I almost bought this one myself, added heat.

Good price for this, heat added

Decent resolution, fast response and amazing refresh rate + vesa mountable. What more could you want?

A friend has a pair of AOC IPS monitors, don't know what model exactly. Very nice.

Anyone can tell me how TN panels compare to IPS ones these days? My 2011 Dell IPS monitor just died so was looking for a replacement, not sure if TN panels have improved in the 4 years.

Don't go back to TN, the colours are far less vibrant and the TN panels just feel dull after using an IPS

They've converged. TN panels have gotten better over time. IPS panels have gotten worse in order to be priced similar to TN.

So nowadays ATW polarizers are pretty rare, most budget IPS panels are 6-bit, they have relatively poor viewing angles, bad IPS glow etc. They have the name because it sells but in reality they're more similar to TN than different.

In the £150 range, go with TN if you want a panel with good response time, go with eIPS if you want something slighter better at static images.

Agreed, it really annoys me when people vote cold because a monitor is tn when a similar priced ips gets heat. Ips does not equal good image quality anymore and tn panels have come a long way.

Are you going to be using this for gaming? If so, you need a very powerful system to truly take advantage of the 144hz refresh rate.

I wont be gaming, mainly for web and lightroom so I probably won't make use of such a high refresh rate.

Then I would avoid this. You can get better image quality which you need for less. Is go for a Dell ips screen.

Thanks. The one that broke was a Dell Ultrasharp one. Really liked the picture quality on it so might go for another Ultrasharp IPS model

You're going to have to spend a lot more if you want a 144hz IPS.

144hz TN films have their uses, so stupid to vote cold based on it being TN.

Got two of these cost 179.99 each from Overclockers, bargain!

Got mine through bespoke via TCB £160 less whatever TCB i get
cracking monitor . and seems better than the LG ips 236v it replaces

Does this work well with Nvidia 3D? Or should I just wait for Occulus Rift?

DPD delivery option is now £9.58 (cheapest delivery available, All Day "Next Day" Delivery -May27th)

will amazon price match this?

Damnit, I only recently told myself I didn't need a new monitor. I have the BenQ GL2450HM 24 inch monitor, which I've been happy with, but obviously it only has a 60hz refresh rate. Is it worth replacing with this AOC monitor?

Great price, heat!

Been after a 144hrz monitor for a while now. Before this massive price-drop, I was considering the BenQ XL1411Z as the price difference between that and the AOC G2460PQU was only about £20.

I'm more than happy to sacrifice a bog-standard stand that the AOC G2460FQ has, for this incredibly low price.

I was close to buying the GL2450HM too but for 40 quid more this 144hz is making me change my mind

Yeah I would buy the AOC monitor without a second thought if I didn't already own the BenQ! Still considering it, but not sure how much I'll get for the BenQ second hand.

Was just about to buy and it expired! Ughhh
