This!
We have the safest drinking water in the world...yet we splurge money on bottled water. Why, why, why?!
If your water is hard, get a Brita filter.

Yes...but tap water is NOT bad for you. It costs next to nothing. & it doesn't deplete a resource for which our country repeatedly goes to war (oil), and according to many studies, is actually better for you than bottled water.
Bottled water simply shouldn't exist. What a waste of resources - and more fool us for buying into it!

Get mine out of the tap for 0.01p per litre... Bargain

I personally think tap water tastes disgusting, even if I filter it. Also, normal water filters don't remove the horrible stuff that is in tap water and I don't really want to consume any more heavy metals, chlorine, aluminium etc. than I need to. Not to mention things like birth control hormones, medication, drugs etc. In fact, the strong oestrogen in our tap water has caused male fish to change to female in our rivers.

It's a personal choice and no worse for the environment than anything else that you can buy in the supermarkets these days. When I can, I get my water from a spring in my own containers but when I can't I buy bottled water, there aren't many other options for me.

I have experimented and while drinking 3 litres of tap water a day, I didn't feel anywhere near as healthy or well as when drinking 3 litres of spring/mineral water

The tap water in most parts of Britain is second to none and tastes great. People have been conned by these big companies selling bottled water. We fought 2 world wars on tap water and back then it wasn't as good as it is now. Then there is all that extra plastic being discarded all over the place, I see plastic bottles everywhere I go. I bought a bottle of water a year ago in Tennerife airport on my way home because I had no choice, I'm still using that bottle though it's looking a little worse for wear. I'll get a new one when I come home this year...8)

I did taste some very sweet water coming out of a spring in southern Portugal a few years ago, and that would be worth bottling

That just isn't true at all, just because my experiences are different to yours it doesn't mean I am wrong and I am just imagining it...

I'm not saying bottled water is just amazing and everyone should go and buy it, I believe that the best water is fresh from a stream or spring but second to that would have to be bottled water in my opinion.

It has no horrible things in it, it's just water that's gone through the best treatment plants in the world. Stop being a drama queen and come back down to earth. It's a well known fact that in most cases the tap water in this country is better for you, than bottled water. Not to forget that bottled water can come from anywhere and I expect that quite a lot of it comes out of the tap. I run or cycle everyday of the week on tap water, there is simply no substitute for the quality and it taste great...

You don't understand what happens to our water when it goes through the treatment plants. There is no safer water than British tap water. Anyone drinking bottled water has been conned and in my opinion of a weak nature. If people were honest they all do it because they think it's cool, well it's not, it's uncool and bad for the environment...

Yes I do and I disagree that there is no safer water, do you know what it has done to lots of the fish in the rivers? I haven't been conned by anyone, I do not like the taste of tap water, it tastes digusting to me, even after filtering! Do you think I should drink something I find disgusting all day? Plenty of things are bad for the environment, all plastics, pretty much every single thing in the supermarket, the internet we are on right now etc. etc. Drinking bottled water doesn't mean you're harming the environment more than someone who drinks tap water, it doesn't take into consideration what else you do!

There is no need to try and make people feel guilty and offended for not drinking tap water, it is out of order!

Like I said you don't understand, you say look what it's done to fish in our rivers. River water doesn't come out of our taps, water that has gone through the best treatment plants in the world does. Of course other things come in plastic most are needed, bottle water is not one of them. Someone drinking bottled water is harming the environment don't you understand that. Don't you have any idea have many plastic bottles are in our rivers on our beaches in the sea and everywhere else. I see plastic bottles that have been thrown away everywhere I go, it's a massive problem...

To be fair, plastic was never needed for packaging, there are plenty of alternatives...You are on a computer/phone right now so... 'he without sin casts the first stone' you are being a hypocrite and it isn't right.
Yes, river water doesn't come out of our taps but pollution containing the oestrogen does affect the rivers and the fish in a very disturbing way
Yes, plastics are hurting the animals including birds and fish, you can buy bottled water in glass, you can also refill, reuse and recycle your plastic bottles and try to buy less plastic packaged products

went to the great british seaside this time last arrived went for a swim the sea just full of plastic rubbish
never seen anything like before or since

£2 in morrisons for 24x500ml highland spring

Hot for the deal, nice find.

But for those who don't like the taste of tap water, buy a 3 litre no added sugar bottle of juice to flavour it with.

I'm not going to keep on trying to explain to you why you're not better off drinking bottled water or that you're damaging the environment as I would clearly be wasting my time. How you think you can call me a hypocrite is beyond me as you don't know anything about me and what products I use or don't use...

Honestly I don't understand, should I drink something that me and my family don't like the taste of all day? We are all damaging the environment in some way, it's what we do to try and help which matters
You don't know me either but you are still trying to make me feel guilty and insult me which just isn't fair at all, I do what I can for the animals and planet but I cant always get to a spring or stream to refill my bottles and I cant just force my family and myself to drink a drink that we dont like the taste of and that I have noticed bad effects from
You have your opinion and experiences and I have mine, I have given a fact and you have chosen to ignore it which is fine, but it isn't fair to just say what you have said to me
The reason I said hypocrite is because we are all harming the environment, you're on the internet right now for example, we are all harming the environment but its what else we do that amtters
Just a quick click on your profile shows a deal you posted for aldi mince so yes, quite hypocritical to come and try to make somebody feel guilty about harming the planet, completely uncalled for and unfair.

All these other issues have nothing whatsoever to do with drinking bottled water, this post is about bottle water, you're just going off on a tangent. The water in this country taste great and I don't believe you are your family find the taste disgusting because that simply isn't true...

Despite the fact that I have a tap I buy cheap bottled water to take with me when commuting. Your always supposed to carry a bottle on the Underground anyway and 15p from Farmfoods or Aldi is a lot better than £1.20 from Smiths.
Just because something is not "needed" doesn't mean it's not a deal. How many other hot deals here are for the bare necesseties?

I used to do that trouble is you only have too forget to wash out you water bottle once and your water really does taste horrible and you may end up throwing it out anyway
To sum up the water in Majorca don't taste like what it outta

No, it's not true for YOU, my family and I find that it tastes disgusting. I was only responding to what you said, not going off on a tangent.
You can't really say someone is wrong for not liking something... oO

I bought one of these, and quite simply the taste of the water compared to either bottled or tap water is like chalk and cheese. i used glass bottles to contain it and replace charcoal filter once a month. I'm drinking 6-8 litres a day of the stuff and can honestly say I would buy another if this failed outside of the warranty period (although there is not too much that can fail).
