24 bulbs? i guess it would be ok for using in a dolls house. Just keep fingers crossed it doesn't set it on fire.

Well I never;-)

Do I smell burning?

Buy these and expect to claim on your home insurance,

Be aware that all christmas stuff in poundland is reduced to 50p a few days after Christmas, like a lot of places (I just always seem to buy more stuff at poundland lol).

I bought some of these when they were 50p last year, they are surprisingly bright but have quite a large amount of wire from plug to bulbs in comparison to how many bulbs they have, so you end up with more wire than bulbs. Also, as some have said before, I wouldn't leave these on for any more than a minute or two when I was out of the room.

great to put around at work.

I brought a couple of packs of these 2 years back and they haven't caught fire once!

They even come with a few spare lamps so you can't go wrong really!

Ive had the white lights on my xmas tree for the last 3 years now and they are still going strong!! Great buy.

Where did you bring them? Did you buy them first?

Great price, but on the radio this morning it was said that 1 in 3 of all sets sold are faulty in some way.

Same price in Asda for their Smartprice range, I think those were clear ones.. there might even be 25 too, I cant remember if it was 25 or 24 lights.. I cant be bothered to check!

I picked up the clear and coloured ones a couple of weeks ago along with the pink and blue12" trees and 2 packs of 15 small baubles- yep you've guessed it- 2 kiddies trees all decorated for £3 each in total - can't moan at that.

You'd need 30 plugs to illuminate a reaonable tree

Were you expecting them to catch fire twice?

From poundland? judging by the rest of there stock I cant see this working beyond an hour or two

Completely untrue. Lots of good stuff in Poundland that other retailers charge much more for - and I'm talking about exactly the same items. Of course it's not top spec stuff but most of it is perfectly serviceable.

Brand snobbery at play there. I guess you like being mugged by 'designer brands' too.

What's your problem?

That said, I'd be a little more wary of something like this which is mains powered and a potential safety risk, but then you could pay much more elsewhere and would the risk really be any less? As a large retail group I think it is reasonable to expect Poundland to be more concerned about safety (and hence their reputation) than the average corner shop or market trader.

lovely find, probs last a few hours, but hey for a quid well wort the fun,

You really know how to live - lottery winner by any chance?

Have a great one!

I'm not a brand snob and do buy things from poundland but wouldn't touch anything electrical I'm afraid.
