The Maxtek 24" LCD TV with integrated Blu-ray DVD player gives you the Full HD 1080p experience in one package. This TV looks sleek and stylish in any room of the house plus there is an amazing picture courtesy of the HD resolution screen. This Maxtek also has a built-in digital tuner which gives you access to Freeview channels and 1 HDMI socket allowing you to connect another High Definition device e.g. a PS3 or Xbox 360.

As an added bonus there is a USB PVR function which allows you to simply connect a USB hard drive and record any television programme either at the touch of a button or via pre-programming. This handy feature means you won’t require a separate PVR or DVD Recorder and you can conveniently Pause Live TV and store films!

All the items we list are graded. This means that the product is effectively pristine but that we open the box and test the item to ensure you receive the product as described in the listing, and put simply, if a product doesn’t pass our QC tests we won't list it.

Please note a small percentage of items may have very minor cosmetic damage to either the item itself or packaging – but in all cases we'll do our best to provide details in the listings.

Seems very feature rich

If you want to use it for blu ray then I would not bother as the picture is crap on it, bought it after I put the other tv deal on last week and it's gone back.

For me it would be ok, it's for a bedroom and bought so I can watch my blu-ray collection, don't need anything fancy but it's annoying only being able to watch blu-rays downstairs.... And I don't want a standalone player... Like the built in idea

I got one last week for £150 and the picture is perfectly adequate on Blu Ray. Perhaps yours was faulty? The sound isn't bad for a cheap combi set and the Freeview tuner is fine. My only complant is that it doesn't play AVCHD discs. Bargain for the price I'd say.

This would be ideal for a bedroom, because you could just mount it on the wall and wouldn't need any other device on a stand underneath, etc.

Does this stream over ethernet from a nas ? whats the compatability and useability like for playback over ethernet ?

anyone who's got one... is this VESA wall-mountable?

Doesnt mention media playback over ethernet anywhere on the ad.

Can someone confirm this as it desnt seem to offer media streaming over ethernet from the ebay ad. Its a good price for what you are getting a bargain if it has network based media streaming.

Still think Blu Ray is pointless on a screen this size. I would personally prefer no BR and a bit cheaper.

Also there are no measurements anywhere for this how high is it ?

heated, looks like a great price

Just looked at mine:
Has 75mm spacing holes for vesa wall mount.
Dimensions are approx 59cm wide, 39cm high, 10cm deep.
I believe the ethernet port is just for BD live and has no additional functionality.

and blu-ray very hot!

Bought!
thanks, been looking for a cheapish dvd/tv and with blu-ray this is great, heat added!

many thanks

This is actually a great size as it will fit under an eye level unit in standard kitchen configuration.

Really I want something this size with inbuilt media streaming, freeview and basic pc functionality, web browsing etc for the kitchen I would pay £300 - £400 for something this size offering all that. My search continues, this is a great price for what you are getting though, great for kitchens and bedrooms.

Pointless having this resolution on a 24" screen, but even still, looks a great deal for the price.

Yeh probably good to have at the end of the bedstead so good for that, shows us your DIY skills people

For a family TV but If you're sat a couple of feet away a set with a small screen size is perfect.

Tempted to get one for my daughters birthday.

My offer for 150 just got accepteed..woot!

For people who have already bought this, does it also have an analogue tuner?

I need to be able to tune in a channel to show the output from my sky box downstairs, which is using the sky infra red eye (upstairs in the bedrrom) via a coax out from the sky box.

Cheers :-)

Yep - it has an analogue tuner. Manual/fine tune function too so should be fine with Sky box.

Cheers :-D Anyone tried to find a code for it for a sky remote?

Looks good heat added but one question and okay it might be a daft question considering the price but does anyone know if these can play mkv files?

Mmmm anyone tried using it as a monitor ? Don't surpose you know what panel it uses ?

could I record ps3 games with the pvr ?

Has any1 heard of Ocean Tree Trading b4? Good or bad?

Is there any warranty on this?

How on earth are they getting away with listing this as NEW???
'New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging is applicable). If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. See the seller's listing for full details'

There's one contradiction, one minute its in original packaging, the next it might not be.

Next click the 'terms' at the top of the ad, it says-
Some of the items we list are graded. This means that the product is effectively pristine but we open the box and test the item to ensure you receive the product as described in the listing, and put simply, if a product doesn't pass our QC tests we won't list it.

Then if you click the terms at the bottom of the ad it says -

So to get this cleared up, apparently it's brand new in original packaging (but then again it might not be), then it MAY be refurbished, and finally it definately IS refurbished.......
Personally I'd give it a wide berth, if they can't even make their own minds up it doesn't bode well for returns should you have to.
If indeed it is new, why only 7 days to return?, as far as I'm aware all new stuff like this normally comes with 1 years warranty.
'If the item is defective upon receipt we offer customers 7 days from date of purchase to request an exchange.'
Basically if it breaks after 7 days you've wasted your money and with all those things built in and it being an unheard of make that has been refurbished I'd imagine the chances of something going wrong is higher than usual.

I have purchased from this dealer, and they were reliable, and quick.

I'd not even looked at the listing yet, I won't bother after what you posted, so thanks for posting the info. Sounds VERY dodgy to me and it shouldn't be allowed. I think I might contact Ebay about it, I'm bored lol.

There is also this....

Please elaborate....
If you mean you bought an item and it turned up, does that make them reliable??

Thanks, and I'm fairly sure it's not allowed.
Perhaps the title should be updated or alot of people may well be misled into buying something they think is brand new, when clearly it isn't.(All the items we list are graded. )
I nearly hit that 'make an offer' button too, glad I read through first. If something looks to good to be true, it usually is.

I second this. Have had 2 of these sets delivered, both were brand new. The retail box is also further protected by an addition shipping carton so it should arrive in pristine condition.

decent price but I wouldn't buy anything with a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and before someone says most manufacturers vastly exaggerate the contrast ratios I would agree but 1000:1 is just too low, making watching blurays on it pretty pointless.

This looks to me like it's made by UMC/Skymedia, it deffo uses the same board (I can see by the connections), so it's not the usual Vestel Clone.

If it is UMC/Skymedia, then it will more than likely have a Samsung panel. I have the DVD/USB Version in my bedroom and that's a cracking telly!. I'm sorely tempted to go for this..

As for the Blu-ray/HD side of things, it's a bit difficult to say whether 1080p makes a difference on a screen this size, but I have a V+ HD box in my bedroom and the SD/HD looks night and day on it.

The label on the back of the set says Made in China so that presumably rules it out as being a UMC clone as they are made in Slovakia. The difference between playing DVD and BD discs on this set is a bit like night and day too!
