Hmm, the image states

USB Multimedia - play music and image files

But the feature list states

USB port plays back external video, music and picture files

Would be interested to know how well this works as a PC monitor, could be handy as a double-duty display.

Not sure that this is actually Freeview HD - or simply an HD Television with Freeview? Anyone know for sure?

Does anyone know if this has mounting holes in the back for a VESA wall mount? Also any info regarding lag time/refresh rate for monitor use etc would be appreciated, thx.

The DVD player is becoming increasingly redundant, and any Freeview tuner it has (HD or otherwise) will be seriously lacking (you'll want a decent external box, like a Humax), so you're basically buying a no-brand 24 inch telly for £130

Of course it's great if you've got kids and you don't wanna spend time with them, but for anybody else all that matters are the sound/picture quality and the available connections. The in-built flourishes can be safely disregarded, which means you're buying a no-brand 24 inch telly for £130. From ALDI :-P

I know I'm sounding like a huge snob now (the ALDI bit was a joke, and I'm not knocking no-brand tellies, just saying you can't be sure of the quality (as with a lot of branded tellies these days)) but I just don't see why this is so hot

If it's good enough for our friends in Germany, it's good enough for me?

Good question. The logo shows normal Freeview but the text clearly states "HD tuner" but I'm not convinced.

Suspect this is an error by an over zealous inputer.

Recommend checking it out in the flesh to see whats on the box.

24"? Even my monitor is 32".

Does it come with a magnifying glass?

Of course his price sounds like a great deal. However on the Aldi brochure offers it is showing at £139.
I have not found any information about this brand all over the web including google.com, .de, .au, .it, .es.
Anyone managed to find more information about this tv?

Excellent price and size bedroom/kitchen.

As faktarus mentioned, this weeks Aldi catalogue has it priced at £139.99. There's a lot more info on the tv in it, makes no reference to Freeview HD but states "built in HD tuner"...
Also states USB port will playback video and can work as a PVR.

Just bought this TV and can confirm it plays MKV, Divx, MPEG4 and avi from USB port. even has an ebook section under USB menu.
No Freeview HD Tuner, just normal Freeview tuner but that i was expecting at this price range. The picture quality is very clear and bright. I tested a full 1920 x 1080 MKV file and it was perfect. DVD quality and free view was less impressive and average for small tv's. Sound is again average for LED/LCD's as no room in casing to add good loud speakers. Its not the main TV in the house so not a problem.

As an added bonus, the DVD Player is multi region out of the box.

Bargain of a TV for the price and is going to make my parents happy in their bedroom.

All three colours this morning at the Aldi Halesowen but we had the last black on show at that time.

Can anyone who bought it confirm if it is £129 or £139 ?

It's 129.99, but if you buy todays Mirror newspaper, you can get an additional £5 off.

Thanks to serdar13's review and BaileyBoo2204's £5 voucher tip I've gone for it. Thanks goes to the op too, great deal.
I'm not fussed about Freeview HD on this tv but the box clearly states "Built in HD Tuner so you can watch high definition programmes without the need for a set top box." Could cause returns for some.

Bought this yersterday but when on EPG i cant just scroll to channels, click OK and select the channel I want to watch?

just seems to show you whats on...

Anyone else noticed this?

These kind of offers always have limited stock, only way of knowing is checking your local Aldi.

Anyone else's set have poor sound? ours is no different on 30 to 100.. unsure if to ts it back

The sound is what I would expect from a set this size and depth but the picture is poor considering it's supposed to be full 1080 HD. The picture from a dvd is disappointing and any movement from square on viewing position results in less of colour, brightness etc. Wondering to take it back or not but it was a Christmas present for my daughter's bedroom.

Has anyone on here actually bought the TV, bought on Thursday and am not having problem with quality of screen or any tuning issues. My problem is the stand, the TV is not sitting correctly in the Stand and is unstable. Anyone got any ideas apart from taking back for a refund.

I bought one returned it, and am returning the second tomorrow with the same fault unfortunately. The sound is intermittent whilst playing DVDs which is important to us as we have tons of DVDs that are still used by the children.

Shame, as it's a perfect size and price for bedroom TV.
