Wow only £697 for a £399 box!

Nothing like signing a two year contract on a piece of kit that's about to disappear.

Hi Gumbald can you tell me why its about to disappear before i make a foolish mistake and buy one, any info welcome, cheers

You wont get £150 cashback as its not a Mobile phone, its a tablet.

I does annoy me when people post these stupid quotes, as your obviously not paying £697 for the tablet. Thats for the tablet and the data usage, so paying for two products. The £697 isnt a finance amount for just the tab. £400 for the tab, and £300 for the data (£12 per month). im not saying thats good value, im just pointing out that a monthly contract for a device and data isnt a finance option!

Its not about to disappear, although in less than 3 weeks the Galaxy tab 2 is about to be launched.

Thanks Steven for the info, glad that got cleared up

Should also point out that they are 2 different models, not just a revamp. Main difference with Tab2 is that its a 10.1 screen as opposed to the 7inch screen on the 1st tab so it depends on what spec suits the user. Personally I prefer the current version with the smaller screen but this may help in providing some more detailed info...

Galaxy Tab 2 Specs electricpig.co.uk/201…ed/

The 10.1 version runs android honeycomb 3.0 which is googles tablet os. There is also a unconfirmed 8.9" version about surface. I have the 7" version and i really like it i even use it as a everyday phone with bluetooth headphones, my bro has the 16gb ipad i prefer the galaxy tab to it. £200 offer is pretty decent too you get £165 to spend on hd movies from samsung movie store plus game ebooks and music.

Does anyone know if the TAB 2 (10.1 or 8.9) is going to also act as a mobile phone? I heard not, but that's juat a rumor of a rumor. Can anyone confirm either way? (maybe with a link?)
