That's ridiculous!
one for £18.99, two for £49.98
Why would anyone pay £12 extra to receive two in one box

Not sure if you are joking or not.
I got one of these with the Show 5 yesterday to test as a baby monitor. Unsure whether I want/need any more?

What do people use them for?

As you get 2 weeks free cloud storage, they are great security cameras for when you are on holiday. You can check your house while you are away and if you do have a break in, you will have footage which might help catch them.

Cheers, debating on whether to get a couple more and point them out of windows or invest in some proper CCTV?
Reviews are concerning about how intrusive the company is wanting your home address and house telephone number etc.. I was about to purchase untill I read the reviews
I thought about getting one of these but reading the reviews someone commented that whilst it records 12s to cloud after motion activation it then waits 5mins before recording to cloud again. So you'll see them break In but can't prove they actually stole anything lol. Yes you can add an micro SD card which will record those 5mins but that assumes they haven't nicked the camera too

That’s bad but I assume the idea of the alert is for you to call the police straight away and hope they arrive before they leave the place...
Brilliant little camera, I've had this for about 2 months.

The plus point on this is you can view live feed/notifications on an Amazon Show / Amazon Spot / Fire tablet in show mode.
I also have a YI Camera - similar kind of quality but the plus point I have on the YI camera is there is also a desktop PC app, so I can view live footage from my computer at work without having to grab my phone.

Overall though, I prefer the Neos

As a cheap alternative to a ring doorbell. Ok there is no door bell for the person to press but as soon as they get to the door I get a notification and a 12 second video clip if I don't see the notification. At the moment I have it position inside a window next to the front door but I've bought a cheap external enclosure for it so it will be going outside soon.

The baby monitor idea is a great one use example for these.
I have one of these. The best ‘bang for your buck’ security camera. There are better resolution cameras out there but this is good for the job fit this price. Free cloud storage for 14 days. Free app. Beware £5/pcm cloud charges on the more expensive cameras.

You do not have to give this information. If you do give it, it is used for geofencing. The camera is automatically armed when you leave and disarmed when you return. I have one and am very pleased with it. I will take this opportunity to get some more.

Can you please let me know what sort of external enclosure you've got. I want to put this camera outside as well.

Heat added!

This one, its not IP rated, and does not look like it would stand up to the elements, however it will be going under a ledge so should be ok for me. Just have a think where you would have it installed that doesn't leave it to the elements. If you have a canopy over your doorway that would be even better than what I have. With this case the lens of the camera will be the bit most prone to weather.

(the wyze camera the link references to is physically the same, just differnet software, so it fits the same boxes)

This is the housing I’ve got, been up for months and works a treat!
Will it work with QNAP NAS Lapps like QVR pro?
Presumably the cameras record constantly to the cloud and 14 days is saved and available to view at any time?

I bought an iegeek camera recently but the lack of security concerns me, these would be a much neater solution in one of the external mounts...

Did you have to extend the usb power cable? Where I want to put them, I'd probably need around 5m extensions....

I have a couple to keep eye on my dog. Whilst the cloud storage is good, it isn't ideal in a break-in situation. If it heard a noise and started recording then once the 12seconds are up then it wont record again for 5minutes. Be lucky to catch much of interest in that 12seconds.

Much better to stick an SD card in it for continuous recording. Which again isn't great as you have to remove the SD card from the camera to view it. Apparently they are adding the functionality to the all though. Personally I'd rather it only record any triggered alerts to the SD card rather than continuous recording and have raised it as a feature request but they don't seem to have acknowledged it.

Another thing to note is they are looking into a subscription service to allow longer clips to be recorded. So hopefully that will be along soon and hopefully be affordable.

Otherwise look into the DaFang mod you can install or install the Wyze cam firmware (as they are all.the same camera)
Great little camera. Only supposed to be used indoors. They have a good feedback page where people are asking to extend the recording from 12 seconds to longer and shorten the 5 minute delay. Hopefully they will listen to us.

if you pop an SD card in it records constantly for a few days.
the geofence works great and you can have 2 phones that activate it when both leave the home.

I mean, joking that it was deliberate. Rather than just an oversight when putting the reduction on the single unit SKU.
I've had one of these a few weeks now and for the most part it works great and I'm very happy with it, only issue I have is the live feed won't show on my Huawei Mate 10 pro.

It alerts me when there is noise or movement and records the 12sec clips which I can then view back but if I try and see the live feed the spinning loading screen stays on and then it just times out (I can hear live audio when the loading screen is on).

I have contacted support and they say it's a know issue and they are working on it and hope to implement a temporary fix until they can replace the software fully.

Just to note the cam works great on the other devices I have tried it on (iPhone 6s & Samsung galaxy tab2).

Has anyone else had any issues with Huawei/honor phones? Just thinking it could be a EMUI issue.

Thanks

I have proper cctv, but these little cameras are handy for indoor sheltered use
Get building Insurance from them u get one for free
My quote from them was 110 for building and contents plus a camera
Just set up my camera that came with the Echo Show 5 bundle. Works ok - quality similar to the Yi camera...however the app is extremely limited, even more than Ya cameras is

So to confirm, I can continuous record once I pop an SD card in? (haven't got one spare at the moment) Anyway to play back any of the continuous recorded video through the apps (doubtful it will allow on the echo)? Or is the only way to physically remove the microSD card and connect to a PC/phone to view the files? There seems to be no standard options either, eg formatting SD card.

Thanks - toying with whether to replace my Yi cameras with these, especially while the offer is on (and also trying to justify buying another Show 5 in the process ) - if they could at least make it up to standard of the Yi dome cameras that would be superb.....mind, this does seem very slow to connect too, and a good several seconds delay of audio

Im with you, got several Yi's and wanted Echo integration. Unfortunately while it works fine with the Neos app after installing it yesterday neither my Show or Spot can connect to the camera (which appears to be a common problem). Slightly dissapointed.
Got one of these two with an Echo Show, thoroughly impressed with the quality of both the camera and the app. My Nest Indoor Cam is going on sale...
