Nicky Elite 3-Ply is my usual, but not a bad Deal (see it's been mentioned on HUKD twice since December). Will see what I think of these (shame it's not the 4-Ply version).

A few left in Argyle Street, Glasgow this afternoon.

Didn't buy the ripped one 3232117.jpg3232117.jpg

If you can't get to a Home Bargains (who sell these for 99p), these are at the front of the store (5 for £1, Cadbury 5 Star - just like a biscuit Boost, not a Star Bar):37672266-NxyHB.jpg(I queried this, turns out a customer had left the 50p sign next to these Milka Strawberry or Milka & Oreo 4 Packs - these are £1)
37672266-wKawf.jpgBut, if you're able to visit Watt Brothers, they're 5 for £1!
Lou. You ever have a day in?

Watt Brothers also had some awesome chocolate the last time I was in (about fortnight ago) filled with roasted, salted and caramelised almonds. Well worth a munch. £1 a bar big bar though and high cocoa content for mondolez.

I do but I've probably went a bit mad after being shut in for so long!

I was stuck in for weeks whilst mum was recovering in (then out) of hospital. So when mum got better I hit the shops (at Bishopbriggs, Robroyston). Now I'm back home. Living in the city centre means Poundland is pretty much my "local shops"!

I'm lucky, though! In the past I have lived in more remote areas or housing estates where there you had to walk a few miles to get to a supermarket or retail park.

Seems like everytime I'm scrolling through I see your deal.

Maybe just the Glasgow keyword helps.

Your local deals are much appreciated.

Thanks I do sometimes get security guards giving me the eye when I have my camera out, but I think they're used to me now. Probably think I'm a spy from management or a mystery shopper!

I don't think there's a single poster on here who hasn't been trailed by security at some point whilst casing the joint for deals!

I said personal shopper rather than mystery shopper. I swear I'm losing my marbles this week - I've had a few brain farts today (such as me not remembering the Timpson guy giving me a watch receipt yesterday - he was nearly arguing with me).

Must be the impending menopause..gulp.

Voted hot for loo roll
5 Star bars are made in India & don't taste like Cadburys or a Boost

From the previous thread (Made in Ireland, imported from the Netherlands) 37677731-OfkCx.jpgUnless the Poundland packs are different in some stores - mine are the same as the Home Bargains photo example I took a few weeks ago, just had a look.

And, I enjoyed them!

Stand corrected
I bought mine from Poundstretchers. Didn't taste like Cadburys and when I checked they were made in India

Maybe you're getting confused with the Cadbury Moro Bars, which had English translations on them and Mondelez SAE mentioned on the packet. Also made with "Family Chocolate", which I'd never heard of but someone explains what it means on there.

Or maybe they all get sourced from different places!

Hi, is the toilet paper thick? I bought some from Tesco and my finger slipped straight through and I ended up with sweetcorn everywhere.

Haven't tried it yet but I'll use one as my next loo roll and report back. We women go through a lot wiping makeup off our faces, etc.

It seemed to get good feedback on previous HUKD threads.

I used some earlier - was wiping makeup off. Seems good quality.

The Quantum packaging says "145 sheet per roll" unlike the Spanish Scottex I bought ages ago from Amazon that had tiny rolls and didn't mention a thing!

The images/review is mine - comparing the Scottex to Nicky Elite 3-ply! Obviously they didn't last long. Thinking about it, I think I was a bit generous with that Amazon review!

(Think the newer Nicky Elite is 168 Sheets Per Roll). One review on Ocado says (about Nicky Elite 3-Ply), "Used to be great, but now centre spindle has magically increased in size by a third and the sheet count is down to 168! Time to look elsewhere because this is a con."37685435-FgslX.jpg

I should really have done the same comparison photos with Nicky Elite 3-Ply versus Quantum 3-Ply, shouldn't I? I've just changed a roll, so here we are...

Nicky on the Left, Quantum on the Right (the Nicky Elite 3-Ply roll is the "older", 170 sheets-slightly-larger-version, and the green colouring is because it's the Aloe Vera variety):37711642-dh9ZF.jpg37711642-Qnt0i.jpg
