Starting from tomorrow until next Tuesday (19th).

£2.89 for 240 bags is a great deal anyway, but there may be a possibility of getting these for just £2. The 'normal' price for the 240 is £5.78 'ish (just checked Asda and Sainsburys). I bought these on Monday at Tesco, marked as a price cut from £5.78 to £4, which I though was OK. If the link I have put up is working correctly, you will see the offer starting tomorrow says "Half Price, was £4, now £2.89". If the shelf label says the same thing, I'd be visiting Customer Services after being charged £2.89 at the till, claiming that half of £4 is not £2.89. They might just be forced in selling them for £2, and possibly less if they still have to honour 'Double the Difference'

Don't know about your local but in my 2 they tend to "hide" the good offers in locations that you wouldn't usually expect them to be, so search the whole store. Don't bother asking staff as they'll just take you to the tea aisle.

Off to get a 1000 tea bags tomorrow and might be tempted by the branston beans offer too, although £1.27 for 4 tins is quite a bit higher than the usual best of £1 for 4 tins.

Once nabbed a basket full of 280packs of PG Tips for this price from Tescoe'

Heated though!

Personally I'd rather pay the 89p rather than quibble with Customer Services

Half of £5.78 is £2.89.

True, but they are advertising it online as "Half Price, Was £4 - Now £2.89". If it says the same thing instore, you would have a legitimate claim to get the teabags for £2.

yes they are selling it at half the standard price. last week they were selling for £4 as I nearly bought myself.
they are merely stating that it is half the normal price. not half of last weeks promotional price. they just happen to have written was £4 and half price on the same signage.
I very much doubt you would get the extra back from them as its not a misprice.
- half (normal) price, was £4 (last week). no legit claim for anything

but still a good deal if you can get it though, my local tesco only ever have tea bags on offer this low for a day or 2 before seeing how popular it is an taking it off! voted hot

£4 in my tesco extra is this only online?

I see they have now fixed the online advert to say "Half Price - Was £5.79, now £2.89"

just been to tescos and got the refund of £0.89 on all my 240 tea bags. Pointed out that half of second reduced price £4.00 is £2.00 and not 2.89 which was original price and the ticket does not state the offer is half of original price! therefore this is misleading and she agreed to give me the refund and said she would be taking this up with management for the misleading ticket on the offer.

What planet are you on? That was SEVEN weeks ago, and if you read the thread, I think you'll find that ONLY the OP managed to get them. It is £2 for 80 in Asda just now, with the 240 pack that this deal is being £5.78.

When I started smoking it was 30p for 20 Regal, but that doesn't mean I could compare it to a deal posted for cheap fags now. Just you sober up before making stupid statements.

The point was it is not impossible to get 240 for £2. There is a very big difference in 7weeks, 7months,7 years and 7decades .You don't need to match up 7 weeks with 7 decades to prove your point. What part is the offending part to you ?

To be honest it is not worth the hassle to do this. As you will only become well known to the staff for doing this oO
Stick to the big double the differance slip ups that will give you a £100 item free and cash back as well And before you ask how! I am not posting it on here. But they are out there

How dust in a small perforated bag is hot is beyond me.

The offer I posted finishes tonight, so people would need to be quick, to take advantage of the TCB offer. When I click on the deal link, it says "Sorry, there has been an error trying to find this promotion, please try again later." Not sure if that means it is in the process of being updated to start again tomorrow. Tesco are in the habit of re-starting the same offers the day after it finishes.
