Pay Monthly: The prices shown require you to use eBilling. For monthly price with paper bill add £1.50. Credit check & payment by Direct Debit required.

RPI Adjustments: From July 2020 (and every July after that) your airtime plan will increase by the Retail Price Index (RPI) rate of inflation announced in April of that year. We’ll give you 30 days’ notice of the exact increase.

Calls to service numbers: The cost of calling 084, 087, 118 and 09 is formed of a combined access and service charge: we set the access charge and the company you're calling sets the service charge. Your access charge for these numbers will be shown on your bill and is currently 58p per minute for Pay Monthly. The service charge will be advertised by the company that you are calling.

Calls to other non-geographic numbers: Freephone calls starting 0800 or 0808 are now free from mobiles. Calls to 070 numbers will cost you 75p a minute in the UK.

Freestyle Contracts: Based on either a 24 or 36 month interest free Consumer Credit Agreement provided by Virgin Media Mobile Finance Limited and a 30 day rolling Pay Monthly Airtime Contract with Virgin Mobile Telecoms Limited. Credit check & payment by Direct Debit required. You must pay off your loan in full in order to upgrade your handset. 0% APR Representative. Prices shown require eBilling. For paper bill add £1.50 per month.

*Standard charges apply, please check with your network operator for rates.
If you already have a line with them then call them they'll probably give you this in rolling contract rather than 12 month deal and an extra GB data

All mobile networks have bad reviews if you don't believe me do your own homework and they find it difficult to satisfy all customers specially those customers who are very demanding or want everything for free

Most of my dealings with them have always involved overseas customer service agents either via the phone or online chat. The only time in the past 4 years I’ve spoken to someone in the UK was regarding a handset credit agreement query I had. I wouldn’t say they were any better or worse than other companies using foreign call handling. You just need to know what to expect, scripted responses, that sort of thing
A few things to note here

The tariff is 12gb doubled to 24gb, so with the roll over you get a max of 36gb not 48gb.

Unless it says lifetime promotion after 12mths the bonus data will be removed

In July the tariff will increase with rpi

Been with Virgin for 10+ years with few issues but they have been known to increase tariff prices randomly, forcing you to cancel your contract mid term. Never happened to me tho.

I have never had any problems, the couple of times I have had to contact them.
Just be aware, next year Virgin is changing from EE to Vodaphone as their network provider.

Unfortunately Lifetime isn’t lifetime. Had lifetime for a couple of years then they stopped it as the plan was no longer available
Think I'm gonna go with Smarty
I am in the process of moving a friend from virgin to smarty. Recently they sent an email saying the plan 25gb for £12 would not exist from april so he'll have to move to another plan, even though he only moved to this plan 2 months ago. They gave the option of leaving virgin or move to another plan before 31st March as he is on 12 months contract. So we've decided to leave because they done the same thing to me few years ago and this is a regular occurrence with Virgin, very rarely a network does that.

My question is how long would you be on this plan before they say we are stopping this plan from next month

I have not experienced it personally but have heard stories of this happening. My account shows a lifetime £6 discount, each time I have spoken with their Cs been told the £6 is lifetime discount, so if I am moved to another tariff etc it will be applied to the new tariff. But if I move tariff it stops.

I left virgin for smarty.....worst mistake I ever made. Thankfully smarty only 30 day contract. Will be jumping on this deal. Never ever had any issues with virgin....smarty (3) is by far the worst coverage provider I've ever used and I travel all over Northern Ireland on a daily basis, 4g speedtest in Belfast city centre was 4mb, phone constantly jumping between edge, h, h+.....with virgin I get 4g practically everywhere

Regardless of their origin they have always dealt with me in a professional and friendly manner
I've bounced around various networks over the years, but Virgin are by a country mile the worst for customer service. Their overseas call centres are dreadful.

As for their so called 'Lifetime' deals. This is only for as long as Virgin want to offer it. They told me my 'Lifetime' deal was no longer available and put me on a tariff for £3 more a month. Same for my Wife.

To say I'd not trust Virgin as far as I could throw them would be an under statement.

I am with virgin yes they are terrible. Their customer service is the worst: honestly i wouldnt bother much. You only have to ring them if they have billed you incorrectly. Network issues get resolved as and when within a reasonable timeframe. The fact that they have EE as their network backup is a good. This deal is a cracking. Heat added

In fairness i have another sim which is voda and coverage is great and speed is also not far behind EE. 5g speeds are slow. Compared to three i would say getting a consistent signal has been a problem with three on highways and rural areas. Otherwise three never gave me an issue when i was with them. Surely their 5g coverage isnt any near voda and ee at the moment

Cheers mate
I’m on Virgin Mobile and ever since joining them my iMessages don’t send instantly and other apps have problems.

Looks like it’s a common problem that they don’t know how to fix
Been with virgin for a couple of years no problems and good coverage. CS same as others with overseas call centres. All android apps good.
Just to give anyone who thinking of switching to virgin they recently announced that they are going to Vodafone as their new carrier service for their mobile phone service. Currently with ee. So bear that in mind if you are not in a good Vodafone signal area

Vodafone's customer service is why I cancelled my broadband service with them before it had even been activated.

Short of it is, I signed up, they sent me my contract, and in it, they detailed all things about my plan, my price, and the T&Cs. The only problem was that the price stated was incorrect.

I phoned for two things, first being to check that they were going to charge me the correct amount, and the second being to ask that they send me a corrected letter. This seemed like a reasonable and straight-forward request.

Somehow, Vodafone's reps (and I went through three of them during this call) turned that request into a 60 minute argument. The first guy told me it was a known issue, and they would put me through to someone who'd get it sorted. The second told me it was a "generic letter" (I should note, which had my name, address, and a unique serial on each page), that I should "just ignore it", and that it was "normal that we don't give the actual price on the letter". His attitude was enough to put me off Vodafone altogether, which is what lead to me speaking to the third guy, who was in cancellations, whose even more argumentative and difficult nature cemented my decision.

My experience of Vodafone is that they're incompetent and half-arsed, and that their staff are difficult and unreasonable. I'm glad I cancelled when I did - they were a nightmare during the period I could cancel freely and without penalty. How much worse would they have been during the following 24 months in which I would have been stuck with them?
Btw, these guys do hard credit checks as an fyi
This is brilliant. I couldn't accept on automated system so I rang them. Rather than giving me 24gb the lady said as loyal customer shall give us 25GB and it will also be a rolling contract rather than a 12 month

Thanks op
