When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches and Eastpak bags
30 year warranty is a bit of a false-hood, but yeah, the bags usually last about 2 years before anything breaks. That's also when the repair fees from the warranty service tend to kick in. Fixing a busted zip is about £12. For everyone's information.
Source: Used to sell Eastpak and probably sent about 50 off for repair during that time.

I sent one back after 7 years as the seam had torn. They replaced it with a newer version, I've been using it for last 14 years, the newer one is indestructible. Other than the waterproof lining has broken down inside
