Seems a great price without comparing. Orlando next year is definitely on my list. Heat.

says session expired when I try to view

Just come back of a NCL cruise, got to say food and drinks are great, don't forget the service charge at about £9 a day each. They do try and get every photo opertunity along with other things like bottles of water for £4.00 and that's not inc in any drinks package to make a few quid.
Good food , excellent drinks menu which is free but it just had that feeling of money grabbing bast@@@@. I been on Thompson cruises which are bottom end of market and feel I was treated or respected more on there cruise

Saying that. The price is hot

Cheaper than living at home..

Not sure where you live..Buckingham palace?

£42/day for accommodation, food & drink.

probably is cheaper than living at home.

I did the opposite transatlantic Oct/Nov last year. Loved it. Yeh, most cruise lines try and take more money from you, so not unusual.

The only criticism is the other Brits on the cruse who seemed to think a holiday is about moaning ALL THE TIME. I'm on holiday, I'm a solo traveler so have paid much more for the trip, why not just chill out like me.

Sounds cheap ,,,,,,Pay by credit card so you get section 75 protection if they go bust!

So, for £13k I can spend the entire year on a cruise, fed and watered??

If so, that's the immigration problem solved. Putting everyone on a boat like this works out cheaper than b&bs and social money!

So you mean that this is all inclusive, but not inclusive of a service charge? How can you have unlimited free drinks included but charge for water?

They're paying more than this to cross the Mediterranean!

Bargain!!

The price seems great but the idea of being trapped inside a floating hotel for two weeks is not so appealing. There must be some attraction I suppose, given how popular cruises seem to be.

Problem for me is I can go but wife is tied to school holidays! PM me if you want to join me, problem solved!

Most cruise lines charge for bottled water, not water per se.

Great price, but a few considerations for those thinking about this
1. NCL Spirit is very old and small. She is not like any modern cruise ship. I've travelled on her twice because of a great deal, but she does not have much in the way of amenities.
2. Transatlantic crossings can be a bit bumpy. I travelled across the atlantic in May and the seven or so sea days crossing from the Caribbean to Barca were not sunny and very windy - this is common.

Transatlantic trips are very cheap for a reason - people either love them or hate them. Many go stir crazy with so many sea days with little to do but read

This deal might be cheaper than living at home for some retired people.

Did you get much action on the voyage? Was there a sailor in every port for you?

Enquiring minds need to be told

The 777 is a brilliant airliner - the only one where you breathe fresh air rather than the toxic stuff that's been through the engines - but Norwegian Airlines is a Ryanair type budget operator who cram in extra seats and charge extra for almost everything on board.

What percentage single sup did you pay on that please? Solo deals seem to be getting even harder to find now I 'm finding.

Correct, most lines do charge for bottled water but if you are on any type of beverage package then usually bottled water is included.

TA's are always windy. The skipper puts his foot down to get across in minimum time. This means its very difficult to sit on deck, either you, your towel, your drink or your book will be flapping in the wind, you just cant sit out and sunbathe - even if its sunny, which quite often it isnt - the wind it just too intense.

As you say, old ship with limited facilities. Still at least you will be able to eat your body weight in food daily.

LOL. I love the comments on this forum of which I've been a member many years. I do sometimes wonder why people bother to take the time to share what they genuinely believe to be a good deal.
Not just in response to my deal, I've got thicker skin and am happy, but across the board in general. This forum never used to be full of such stupid opinionated numpties. The sad thing is I bet half the people commenting on, and generally rubbishing posts have no actual experience whatsoever.
To get in before the next commenter and their pearl of wisdom.

"The boat will probably sink and water the beer down" Voted cold as a result.

Take it easy on those others trying to find and share good deals with you all.

Have a fab one!

When did you last travel on it please?

DickyGB,

Could you let me know how much the extra days in Orlando were and what was the charge for luggage on the plane and the booking fee. Thanks

Of course.
I just asked them to extend the flight times which they did for free. So going out on 16th rather than 19th at no extra cost. Room only basis supplied from 19th and I will sort car and room out myself for the extra 3 days.
Total incliding fees and luggage with airline etc was £1052.
B&B offered in Barcelona and Ocienview outside cabin guaranteed with request for further free upgrade nearer time if I dint ask for specific cabin number now. Hope that helps?

Thanks DickyGB

That's quite expensive for dysentery.

Awesome deal, wish I had the money for this sort of thing I would be all over this.

Oh you silly, just tie your bottle to a piece of string and dip it in the ocean. Free water, thank me later.

At the risk of preventing everyone rushing out to book their flights on boeing 777's and being disappointed, it is the 787 that is otherwise known as the dreamliner that works this slot.
That said, as a believer in saving money like many of this sites readers, I would recommend buying the cheapest seat that will safely and conveniently do and spare a few pounds from some very good sleeping pills.

The deal for the cruise isn't bad. I haven't said it is. Maybe others have? However the ship is old. It's an anomaly in the NCL fleet with a chequered history and very limited on activities and features. She's about 70,000 tonne and looking tired/old.

What I have tried to outline is that a TA crossing is a very different beast from bobbing around the med or the Caribbean for 2 weeks.

Also on this cruise you will lose an hours sleep most nights once you leave St Maarten which isnt fun night after night as the clocks will go forward nightly by 1 hour.

TA's come up every spring and autumn as the ships reposition and they are always cheap and cheap for very good reason.
