No, but you can root it on XDA developers

I was just going to post this after looking for a drill for myself.

Was £45 last year so even cheaper this time. But seems to be mixed reviews on the reliability from what I can tell based on the last few years they did this, maybe they have impoved quality if true?. Unless some people are just brand **** which does tend to happen.

Will likely go for this myself as just within my new drill budget as was going to go for a 18v cordless out of Argos. This at 24v, hammer action, higher rpm speed and 3 year warranty etc might be worth going for. But I gather returns are at buyers cost under the 3 year warranty with Aldi items?. But returns under the SOGA are store return within the first 12 months for replacement or refund I gather.

Does anyone know what type of batteries come with this drill.I don't suppose they will be Li-on at that price.

I'm currently trying to find this out myself as got the leaflet\booklet today and that doesnt say. What I do know is that Aldi started doing this drill back in 2010, so if using the same battery tech as near 5 years ago then more likely to be Ni-Cad or NiMh. But does not mean this years version has not been updated in that area. But then again its £5 cheaper this time.

The only thing the leaflet says is "1500maH battery pack" . A lot of manufactures using the old battery tech only seem to go up tp 18v as the weight of the battery pack becomes an issue with the overall weight. And this does look a chunky **** of a battery.

Will post back if I can find out for sure but I have read that Li-On cordless drills are currently either 18v or 36v.

Hi can you please tell me who makes this drill
