I wouldn't advise any job then that concerns the reading of any legally binding documents. Your brain will melt.

Shame it’s games only, got my old XBox Elite sitting around doing nothing.
^^Pack it away for a rainy day, retro gaming and collecting is only going to get bigger as the years go on, that Elite might one day pay for that south of France rivera retirement home.

Gumtree it.
Ok let me see if i have this right.

If for example i would get £10 trade in for Red Dead 2 (which is about right) - and i then wanted to buy Sekiro at the same time. They'd give me £12.50 trade in price?

Not too bad i guess but the trade in prices at game are pretty poor.
Expensive there . They totally messed up a pre-order I did with them. Very embarrassing in the shop when they told me I’d spent the credit when I hadn’t.
All of the trade in prices I checked earlier in the week have now gone down by £3-£4 (around 25%).. same old game false marketing.

What's 25% of 3p?
Just traded some old games in for dmc was very happy with prices given there no where near as bad as most people make out pretty much match cex if not beat them and get a new game instead of pre owned
Not sure if they still do but years ago i downloaded their app and traded an xbox 360 elite in nearly got £300 store credit bought a brandnew 3ds with it and a couple games. Wss during one of their promotions and it all just stacked. Then i got more credit when i bought the 3ds and stuff so got another game for free ha.
I see all the game employees are out defending this terrible deal
Looked at one game (Anthem). Even with the 25% extra. Your still £6 quid better off going to CEX.....

No you're not. I believe you are comparing the cash options, which isn't given 25% extra in this deal anyway.

But you are correct, if you want cash then CEX is better.
I did this last week, but pretty sure it was just Switch games. Staff didn't have a clue, had to find promo on their website and they had to call their support guys to confirm.

Anyway, with the promo trade in prices were slightly better than CEX cash prices... Not as good as CEX trade in prices, but I prefer GAME as you can convert the credit into digital credit, which is handy...
I went in yesterday to make use of this, got £75 for my five games which I was happy with to use against Division 2. Still not as great as CEX but for new games, it's not bad.
Just got a decent return using this.... Bought Splatoon 2 on Switch for £32 from CEX some weeks ago, and only fired it up this weekend to find no local multiplayer . Checked CEX And GAME trade-in prices - £21 cash, £30 exchange at CEX and £30 at GAME, plus 25% came to £37.50. Bought a game discounted to £30 but scanned at £40, but they honored the mis-price and loaded the left over £7.50 to my GAME app

Splatoon 2 has been £45 for over a month at my nearest CeX stores. Previously £50 if I remember correctly. So a bit confused on how you bought it in CeX for £32.

Either way I'm glad you got a good trade in deal and enjoy your new game. Out of interest what did you go for?

It was a while ago, looks like November time:

As for what game I went for... it was Hello Neighbour Hide and Seek. I know, I know... but my kids seem to enjoy Hello Neighbour 1 on Xbox via GamePass, so it will keep them quiet for a couple of hours since Splatoon turned out to be a disappointment

I play Splatoon 2 online. Don't you have the membership? Fair enough though. Hope they enjoy Hello Neighbour Hide and Seek

Do you think someone should hold onto their PSP 3000 and Nintendo Wii with all the games they got on them? lol because I keep thinking I ought to get rid of my old garbage.

And now I already regret throwing my PS2 away just for what you call, something to remember.

No, pack them away, you won't get much for them at present anyway so don't just give them away, i guarantee you 10/15 plus years down the line you will be happy you kept them, i regret to this day giving away all my Atari St and Amiga gear, my A570 cd rom, my Amiga 20 meg HDD, collectors are fighting over them at present.
