Deal on from Wednesday 20th November until the end of December. Deal link is only for illustration, to show the cheese on offer.

Can't believe this wasn't already posted. Don't think cheese, (especially an extra mature), has ever been as cheap as £2.52 per Kilo. £5/kg is usually the benchmark for a good deal on cheese.

Ignore the £5.49 price on the link. This is a special offer on a 2.5Kg block from Wednesday 20th November until 3st December.

There is ZERO VAT on this.

I bet there'll be a sign in store as usual saying this is a misprint and that the price should've been .....

It's quite clear in the Makro Mail, page 8. In fact, I've made the mistake with the deal date. The Makro Mail is for the period 20th November until 3rd December. The page with this offer actually has a 'Price Lockdown' banner and says this price, and that of the other 3 items on the page is held until 31st December, so this will be available for quite some time. Will be extremely disappointed if it is some kind of misprint, but doesn't look like it.

I got the same mail too - couldn't believe it at first and then thought - misprint.

I hope you're right, but Makro are not very good for things like this... let's see

Going into Makro Hillington on Wednesday, en route to Braehead with the free tickets for Saving Mr Banks, so hopefully will return home afterwards with a car boot full of cheese. X)

£6.99 per Kilo? Who in their right mind would pay £6.99 for a so called 'locked down' price? Supermarkets nearly always have a cheese on special offer for £5, or slightly less, per Kilo. I'm going to the cinema nearby tomorrow anyway, so may pop in to my Makro fr a look at a couple of other things on offer (the 40 Kleenex Triple Velvet at £9.59 including VAT and some Salmon Fillets), but thanks for the pre-warning on the cheese.
