Hi folks
First ever post so I hope i get it right. Just been to my local Aldi and they have a few offers on but the one that caught my eye was a 25 litre compressor reduced from £79.99 to £29.99 ! that's a bargain in my view not sure if it is nationwide this was in Holmes Chappel .

Cold because you cant get it in 2 Aldis next to you? Bit harsh. Not as if the OP said it was national.

Cracking deal! Will check my local Aldi later today. Thanks OP
Thanks for sharing your first deal post with the community @swisslad
can you run air tools off this, like car mechanic tools?
Can I use this to paint using a spray tool?
Which Aldi no way will this be national.

Not many and only for a 10 second burst at decent pressure. The free air delivery of this will be about 6 cfm and your average 1/2 inch impact needs 9 cfm continuously. Some stay guns will work off this if chosen carefully.

No, need about 13 to 15cfm to do that, this is more for tyres, maybe nail gun, great price if your local.

Yes you can as long as the cfm rating in the tool is low. If using something like a sander or grinder, you may have to wait for the air compressor to catch up.

If you are using a small touch up type with low cfm you should be fineor if it’s a small painting job. Otherwise you will have the motor running on the compressor trying to catch up your usage and having to pause your painting.

thanks for your responses !
Would this be suitable for scale modelling? Airfix kits etc?
This will be a (very good) local deal.
Got an older version... power tools, such as impact wrench won't work.
Used a spray gun quite successfully (mine came in a kit with a paraffin gun, and air blower)
Also drive a nailer/stapler... and inflated lots of car/bike tyres.
Runs an air brush for ever on one charge too.

Be under no illusion that this will run a garage workshop... but still a handy thing.
Cracking price. Heat.
Anyone snag one in other lidis
I have used mine for running an impact wrench - yes you only get short bursts but undid the required bolt , for this money you can not go wrong , I have used mine (not this make ) for many things - great deal if you can get one !
Great first deal OP!

Cracking idea, anyone actually tried it?
Running two compressors at the same time would trip out your mains.
No stock in and around Stoke on Trent for anyone interested. Rang customer services to check.

At work I have a 80liter and additional 50l tank but only one has a working compressor

Or a 20amp radial may even be lucky on a 16amp circuit as it's right on the limit.

I wonder if they would trip 16a they would have to be true 2kw+ each and kick in at exactly same time

Either way not something that couldnt be worked around

People need to start realising that the only way an Aldi deal will be national is if it's on their website. you can't even guarantee stock in two stores in the same town it's absolutely pointless.
tusk197914/01/2020 13:13

Would this be suitable for scale modelling? Airfix kits etc?

Yes. It will be ideal. Just turn the regulator down and maybe even have the compressor in a different room as they can be noisy.
