The Ancestry DNA kit is currently 25% off until 3rd August. This makes the kit just £59 (usually £79) plus £20 p&p
This kit allows you to send off a saliva sample for DNA testing. You'll be able to identify which parts of the world your ancestors originated from.
Results usually take 6-8 weeks to arrive.

Total price is £79. NOT £59

I agree, 23 and me have a better service and give you more genetic information. Ive used them.
However, Ancestry DNA still offer good service and it's better value for money for those who just want to know their Ancestry.
Also, 23 is £149 (unless you buy from Superdrug. They used to sell the kit for £99 but seem to be out of stock) whereas Ancestry is just £59 with this deal

I just saw your comment about the p&p fee. That's quite steep.
I've added the p&p fee to the description. Thanks for pointing that out

Still, my point to NotTayebb is the same, it's a lot cheaper than 23&Me and therefore an option for those who can't afford the £149 23&Me fee and who don't care so much about the genetic health markers that 23&Me offer.

£20 P&P! oO

How can they justify this? It's only a very small package about the size of two matchboxes

Worth remembering that Ancestry also give you the raw data to download and perhaps upload to other sites to get the health stuff.

Personally, I went with 23andMe a few months ago because it had API integration with FoundMyFitness and I managed to get it for around £90 via superdrug. Ultimately, it depends on what you want to get out of the service, while bearing in mind their limitations. Ultimately, I was pleased/disappointed with 23andMe as there was nothing actionable or surprising health/ancestry wise. But I'd mostly got it to see if there was some supplementation optimisation I could experiment with and the additional FoundMyFitness stuff helped a lot with that.

Shame the postage is a joke
As Duran Duran once said :
Too much information
I don't get the point, the results only show you vague ethnic traits that may or may not be correct, may as well go to a gypsy to get your palm read!
A total rip off. Knock 20 pounds off only to add it back again for p+p!! Totally misleading promotion

The £20 delivery charge was always in place so before the promotion you'd pay £99 inc p+p now you pay £79 in p+p. I agree that £20 p+p is a rip off but this is still a £20 discount.
It's £20 P&P as the kit is shipped from Ireland using DHL. Good deal, thank you.
