So Gap stores are automatically taking 25% off purchases?

I want to use this in one of the gap outlets where the outfit I want says its reduced by 30%. Will the 25% then come off on top of that?

Usually, Gap discount vouchers are not valid for items that are on sale. You can check that in detailed terms and conditions. Having said that, I got 30% off on sale items once. I think it is down to the person who is billing to make sure sale items are excluded.

You need to be careful. We use a Gap outlet frequently, often with a 10% discount voucher from the web (check the Gap website before a visit you can often download and print a discount voucher) or using a discount card from the information desk. Almost everytime the receipt will show the extra discount on some items but not others. Normally anything with 30% or more off will not be further discounted but sometimes it is and an item with 10% off isn't. There is no obvious way to determine what will or will not be discounted further.
I suggest you check the receipt and ask the staff - they are always happy to explain, but never discount further.
