You know how much I love these guys; small british brand that build all of their bikes to order. They are having a 25% off sale on all of their bikes, which have had some good industry reviews recently.

This is from the email I received:

You can get a full Shimano 105 road bike (carbon fork) for £659.25...check Road.cc for reviews.

Same here, any shop that won't price match the kids bikes... I'm out of there in a flash.

Saying that it might explain why I don't have a bike yet.

Really, really looking for a good single-speed bike. Any suggestions for the best in this avenue?

No wonder you like them so much when you clearly work for them! All of your posts are about Mango Bikes!

Best single speeds I've owned in order:
Cooper Spa
Kona Band Wagon
Cannondale SL29 SS (MTB so may not count)
Kona Paddy Wagon

Worst
Charge Plug
Giant Bowery

If I was looking for another one now at a reasonable price would probably look for a 2016 Specialized Langster.

I love my Charge Plug, though I've only ridden one other single speed. What didn't you like about it?

If I didn't just buy a schwinn I think I would have bought a single speed for sure 225 is awesome

I don't know. mango is very popular, I think it was started by two uni students

Never heard of these , the Point R road bikes look good, I will be looking for a road bike in the summer, so I hope this deal will be repeated...then compare with what the other cycle scheme suppliers have.

I'm sure battery powered butt plugs aren't really a mainstream product......

Some gorgeous bikes there but it doesn't mention where the frames are made. Seems like they paint bought in frames and assemble the rest of the bike. They state manufacturer but I'd see them more as assembling bikes. It would be nice to see them develop into making their own frames in the UK as well. I realise this is pretty much how many so called manufacturer's operate, buying in taiwanese frames and assembling with their chosen components though even top brands like Kona etc.

The frames are imported but built to their specification. That isn't too surprising though. Hardly any mass manufacturer including bikes costing many times more have their frames made anywhere other than China or Taiwan.

@pazuzu17 Depends what you are after. Build it yourself or have one built. If you want the best, get a custom frame made. Off the peg I would look at Cinelli or if you value British companies then have a look at Brother Cycles. These would generally be fixed gear but of course it is super easy to make them single speed.

never heard of Planet X? Ribble? you can spec way more than you can here, way more!

I've had a mango single speed for over a year now mostly used for commuting around London. Love it!

I would say its not hugely likely to be repeated, these guys don't often go on sale

Tempted to get one for the Missus, is the last day for this offer Sunday?

Also she is in between sizes, any advice on going for a bike that is a little too big, or a little too small? I figure little too small, but would be interested to read some advice please.

Just felt cheap and nasty to be honest and didn't really fit me right, felt awkward, probably just me.

They are less pricey than the other ones you mention, and I'm a bit of a cheapskate.

Had the email a few days ago. Was tempted by a Point AR full 105 but all medium frames are sold out.

Always go for too small rather than too big, it's a lot easier to make a bike bigger than smaller.

just found out sale prices not available on cycle scheme, oh well, will have another look in the summer....
