Any discount for working people?

That is a very ignorant view.A lot of students are working people. I am a student and have worked 40 hours a week for the past 4 years. Thanks for the heads up on the deal!!

Also very ignorant for all these student deals whilst nothing for normal people who are working full-time in their dream jobs or working their way up the ladder in their desired field.... Punished for not falling into the governments tricks of putting you in debt at a young age? No thanks.

How is that ignorant? They're offering deals for those who have less money. Makes sense really.

Discriminated against perhaps, but hardly punnished. It's a schene which encourages those who, generally speaking, have little disposable income, from borrowed finance, to spend it and thus bolster the economy.
Do you disagree with forces and nhs discounts too?

I've worked full time for 16 years since leaving secondary school 'working my way up the ladder' as 'a normal person.' Whilst doing so, I study in my spare time for a BSc(Hons) thus entitling me to an NUS card. Instead of whinging about not getting student discount, perhaps pull your finger out and enrol on a distance learning course and you too could be eligible for the discount. It's not rocket science. You want something for nothing, a common theme these days: get a grip.

I'm a full time student and work 16 hours a week too, so stop the sweeping statements, a lot of students work too.

These comments are why I love hotukdeals!! Great deal by the way.

Does this include sale items?

Thanks OP - A code that drops on payday - result! Heat added

Isn't this a matter of entering random number to the exact number of digits that a student has on there card. Be it 11 or 16 and then the discount is applied?

Is anyone else getting 20% not 25% discount?

While you guys are "living your dream jobs" us Student, are studying full-time while living on less than people who get benefits so do one.

Some working people are on less than people who are benefits so it's not just you students who suffer and who pays the tax that contributes to these people that are on benefits? Working people!!

Seems to be a massive misconception here when referring to 'students'. I work full time but am studying on an Open University course. That entitles me to an NUS card which I use.

In the past I've googled for a NUS card number and always found one that works...

Students are just the same as these 'normal people' you speak of, it's just that they will work full-time in their dream job and/or work their way up the ladder in their desired field; after they graduate.

How dare there be deals for students that take 3 years to study a subject they enjoy. Why don't they just get a job? Oh wait they do, and then they pay back their student loan, with plenty of interest.

Some people really need to get a grip.

Trainee teacher here. Currently in £30,000 of debt and work anywhere between 40-60 hours a week (not including academic projects/essays etc) for a grand total of nothing (all 'voluntary'). I live off of a student loan that leaves me with £42 a week after bills.....but yeah, where are the discounts for the 'hard working normal people'?! Not all students spend their days drinking and watching Jeremy Kyle!

I was a student and struggled financially... But my education allowed me to obtain a well paid job 3 years later. Since then, I have more than paid society back for any grants (or other benefits that were given to me).

Hot from me

I should point out... I am a teacher and now sky + Jeremy Kyle!

Well it's been one day and 8 hours since the deal was posted and not one of them has bothered to tell us the proper code yet. What was that about students being lazy again? (_;)

Lazy???? Oh yeah.....studying a masters and bringing up 2 children....don't think so! Working hard studying to provide an even better future for my family

Well spill the beans on the code then and I'll take it back..... (_;)

surely its through unidays. its not difficult.

Nice one. I was being sarcastic by the way. I wasn't really calling students lazy, just playing on the stereotype - hence the wink. (_;)

Students pay plenty of tax including: VAT, alcohol duty if they drink, tobacco duty if they smoke, vehicle excise duty if they have a car, air passenger duty if the fly, so they still contribute to the Exchequer!

3 Ralph polos and 2 pairs of lyle & scott shorts for £240 - bargain, my summer wardrobe sorted!

So many bitter people in this thread crying about student discounts.
You guys also gonna cry about concessions for paps? The offers are there to help those with less money then those who work full time jobs
Cry me a river.

Apart from VAT, the rest is all choice... You've got plenty of if's in there.

People that pay taxes through working don't have a choice.
