Great timing, I was due to head there today
I went to the shop 3days ago and there were adverts everywhere in the shop 25%off ...and got school shoes with 25% discount without using any voucher...hmmm...strange

Cheap clothes and homewares. They probably see themselves as being better than primark but there isn't much in it.

They used to make you register and use a matalan card, and they would refuse to sell to you if you didn't have the card with you when you went to the till...i've no idea whether they still do but that stops me going in as I always think...well I don't have a card for there and I can't be bothered registering with some pestering member of staff trying to sign me up for everything under the sun...

I do still have a matalan xmas tree I bought when I was a student in 2001. £10 quid and it's still going strong though it looks a little empty compared to modern ones. I think prices have gone up since then though.

You dont need a matalan card anymore to shop. Occasionally they will have special offers for card holders only,but its not how it used to be. I found that really irritating too.

Hasn’t been the case for around 15 years.
The card was only used to offer special invites , offers etc.
