25% Off – The ŠKODA Fabia

Found 12th May 2013
The 25% off deals is still on till the end of this month (May).

The price of this model was £12,030 OTR, but it is now available for just £8,995 OTR.

I know this deal has been on here before but the thread i can see on here from 4 months ago is showing expired and I am not sure if its the same deal.

Seems to me a decent deal for a car while not great (car badge whores will not like this) is well made and perfectly adequate for most people.

3 years free servicing as part of this offer, when purchased through ŠKODA Finance (at 7.9% APR representative)†.

Glad to see this deal back again. I went for it in Feb for a March, ie 13 Reg, vehicle. Very pleased with it, and even managed to get three year half price servicing in writing, in lieu of the full 3 year free servicing if taking the finance deal. Even paying that off as soon as possible would have cost half the servicing saving I reckoned. Wouldn't throw in free mats though, but a HUKD deal soon after got me fitted ones for under £12.

I've just been through the equipment list. Apparently you get a steering wheel. How handy is that? On a plus note, alloys and a 5 year warranty are currently no cost options.

Wonder if we can untick the steering wheel option?

Zuulan,

What's missing from that list (strangely) is manual air conditioning, which this SE spec model definitely has. That, and ESC, are the mandatory 'options' for many drivers these days, myself included.

Great deal though, on a highly credible little car.

Is it now "hip" to like skoda's?,don't kid yourselves ,it really isn't a looker, VW may well own them but if you don't want to look like a maths teacher with cords and a jumper with padded elbows and want a cheap VW go buy a SEAT.

Two points to make here: no-one pays list price for cars and this 'discount' is standard given that the new Fabia is out at the end of the year.

Are we still allowed to do Skoda jokes?

Decent car at a decent price but it remains the last of the 'old style' Skodas, ie uggly!

Wife wants a Yeti - waiting for deals on these to come up in advance of next year's revamp.

The equipment list posted by li0nhead says "Clear glass windshield".

That's what I've been doing wrong all these years, driving around with an opaque windscreen...

I'd be very surprised if the Mk3 is out before mid to late 2014. I keep an eye on Skoda fairly closely and there's no rumours, spy shots or anything else.

....keep them quips coming....comedy gold right there (_;)

manual air conditioning is included as is tinted glass, additional rear speakers, remote central locking and electric door mirrors.

Would be a yes, if it didn't have a 0-60 of 14.9 seconds. Good deal for a city car though.

Any similar offer on the Greenline models?

Grow up.

25% off, so make sure you go for the Estate, then at least you'll still end up with a hatchback.

And the 14.9 secs matters to you, where exactly?. Don't reply as we were all juvenile dreamers once.

Brilliant car, love mine which is a year old now.
Not sure if there is still a waiting list, I had to wait six months for it and they said it was eight months when I collected.
I guess a waiting list would mean fewer deals due to lack of old stock to shift although there may be a few demonstrators.
I got mine through a broker with a decent discount

Not a gr8 deal of discount on these. My wife is looking to buy the high end diesel.(2.0 l methinks) Where did u get yre decent discount if it is not a post secret?

Don't like the look of any other model apart from the monte carlo special editions, which I think all look fantastic. Weird. Was going to get one but just a little bit too old.

I love my 1.6tdi Fabia Estate, got it on a 62 plate last September and got 3 years free servicing and no VAT. Not the fastest out of the shed but reliable and comfortable. I really like the Skoda styling ie the chunky bonnet and grill. May not be for everyone but wouldn't life be boring if we were all the same!

drum brakes on the rear...

I would have thought all cars this size now have both disc brakes front and back ...

Just bought one of these for the wife - it's a bargain (you're talking £13000 plus for similar spec Polo) but the above spec list is different to that on the Skoda website for the SE - you don't get ESC for instance but you do get air conditioning and metallic paint. No mention of free five year warranty also.

What do you call a Skoda with twin exhausts;

a wheelbarrow.

Yes, my local dealer said zero discount so I walked out bought one the same day for about £2500 less.
I bought it through Carfile, really simple process as they just put you in touch with their preferred dealer (I won't name the dealer as I think that is a secret). You pay the deposit to the dealer and then the long wait starts. I know there are other brokers doing similar deals.

I have a 2.0 CR TDI 170 SE Plus 4x4 with a few extras (I recommend spare wheel, auto lights and hill hold, but also have silver roof rails and off road protection pack)

This one is mine...
