Nice - any idea how long it's on for? Hoping it will tie-in with the Nectar double-up event.
Would be a good deal if their wine was not so expensive (like many of their other products) compared to the other supermarkets - cold. They also have a COMPULSORY 40p plastic bag charge for home deliveries but this might have changed since I ordered 18 bottles of wine with only 3 bottles in one plastic bag!!! The other 15 bottles were loose - didn't even supply wine carriers. Cheeky s.ds!! I don't buy from Sainsburys any more.

There is an option to have your order delivered without bags. Nothing has changed, this has been the case since the 5p bags were introduced. Not Sainsburys fault you didn't read properly during your order.
Brilliant news

Takes 'try something new today' to a new level.
I have tried many of their sub 5 pound wines and found them very drinkable
their value range £3.65 is perfectly quaffable on an average day with a meal - it's bin ends so wine varies but with 25% off a steal!!
Thanks OP

Heh nice one
Sainsburys wines are no more expensive than other supermarkets, so 25% off is a steal!
Sainsbury's wine deals have always been stackable (including 2 for £10 - 3 for £12 etc) so if you pick the best deal offer time this is always a very hot deal - Subject to stock!
jimmybo - you cannot use Sainsburys money-off vouchers to buy alcohol last time I looked, which was a while ago since I stopped shopping there.

crusty2 - do Sainsburys do a Spanish white wine for £3 a bottle, like Tesco do? I very much doubt it. They are more expensive e.g. they did do a Consignia white wine for £1 a bottle more than Asda.

According to the Sainsbury's vouchers, the "spend" excludes spirits and liqueurs
Beer and wine have never been a problem with my purchases using a Sainsbury's voucher(_;)

Unlike the £5 off £40 spend Lidl voucher - currently freely available in the Lidl News November issue
Quote: "Only one alcoholic product can be purchased in conjunction with this voucher"

My local Lidl checkout robots insist that this translates to a limit of one alcoholic "item" - whether it's a can of beer or an expensive bottle of spirits!

Just an FYI...you can use vouchers. In their t&c's - you just have to make sure there is grocery (not spirits, wine or tobacco) that equate to the same or more than the value of the voucher itself. So i stuck in £16 worth of other bits I needed to use the voucher - and essentially got them for free. Simples
stiz2theMiz - Thank you for the update. I can only think that Sainsburys thought better of it and allowed some alcohol to be purchased with these money- off vouchers. But that won't change my opinion - for other reasons I mentioned e.g. their high prices, I still won't shop in Sansburys stores. Morrisons did the same - they said no alcohol but when the issue was raised, they said buy groceries to the value of the discount and you can then buy alcohol with the balance, so I did. I do not know why they bother confusing the position like that, saying one thing then saying something else - does not give a good impression. Tesco and Asda do not barr alcohol at all when using their money-off vouchers.
I've just used a £4.50 of £30 spend voucher for the 25% off 6 + bottles of wine or "Fortified wine" Dow's port offer (no other item included in my shop) without any problem
jimmybo - thanks for letting everyone know. See my last posting on here; we now have 3 options for Sainsburys when using their money-off vouchers:-

1. you cannot buy alcohol with these vouchers;

2. you can buy alcohol to the value of the voucher;

3. you can use the voucher entirely for buying alcohol.

Thanks Sainsburys, for being so clear about this issue - it doesn't bother me as I don't shop at Sainsburys!
My Sainsbury's money off coupon clarifies in the t & c:
Spend excludes spirits and liqueurs
When using this coupon the value of goods, other than spirits, liqueurs and when using online, wine on any buy 6 save 25% multibuy must be at least equal to the money off offered by this coupon

Luckily I have another two weekly coupons that I can use to purchase wine, as this wine offer doesn't expire 'till Sunday 8th November (1st day of a new coupon week)
Thank you for the heads up. I cleared a shelf this morning. I need a bigger car boot though.
jimmybo - it seems you have identified a 4th option! See my posting above which identified 3 options. The 4th is that you can buy wine with a money-off voucher but not spirits or liqueurs. The more options the merrier!

Well here's a 5th option
You can purchase 6 + bottles of "fortified wine" - which includes the excellent value Dows Port offer - and use a Sainsbury's money off coupon in the transaction

Not recognised as a spirit by Sainsbury's!
18 bottles in total including 2 x Dow Port, 2 x Prosecco, 2 x Campo Viejo and a selection of 3 for £12 and 2 for £10 - bought batteries totalling £20 to get £18 off voucher so all in for just over £75. Just over £4 a bottle or just over £3 excluding batteries Now......will they last until Christmas?!
Is there a code I type in go to pay n no reduction 12 bottles of wine no 25 percent off
