from the pic I would say a crappy y cable USB2 model, get a USB3.
Maybe okay to fire up old hdds but I can't really see the point in this these days

Same as my 10 year old caddy still has an 80gb recert drive in
Got a usb3 transparent no tools required enclosure for about £6 from GearBest. Price has gone up a little, & if you need it quickly then shop elsewhere. Anyway here's the link.
Voted hot op but there are better options available for a bit more money.

I had one of these and it fell apart. Badly designed for frequent disk exchanges. Now use a superior and more expensive tool free usb3 model.

These are great for us with plenty of large capacity HDDs displaced by newer SSDs.

Both for backups and for data such as JPGs, MP3s & MP4s which take space but don"t need full SATA bandwidth.
Can anyone recommend a good quality caddy for 3.5" drives?
They have my old photos and I would like an easy way to view them on varios devices.
