Very decent. OK for likes of me, who doesn't call as much but uses text and likes to check on net. But I'm on the LIFE deal for £5.95
excellent deal. im on the other £5 deal its great for the money. heat!
I'm annoyed as I already signed up for the 1gb plan for the same price. Has anyone able to change to this plan?
Just to clarify - the 1.5Gb is already tripled, so it'll drop to 500Mb after 12 months

You can switch at any time, this is a 1 month rolling contract so as soon as a better deal comes along you can switch!
That's a great price for 1.5GB!
Great I've been shopping around for a new sim only. This seems to be the best so far
already with id, if I switch to this deal can i keep the same number?

already done that dopey had me holding on for 20 minutes so I hung up. thought someone else might if already tried.
Was looking at redemption deals and there's nothing decent about. Just got this to see me through until there's a good deal. Cheers OP
What network do they use if anyone knows? Thanks

Even better then last time, last time the deal went hooot. Just have to figure out how to upgrade, will check tomorrow.
Thanks, heat added!

HOW DO I UPGRADE MY PHONE OR CONTRACT?

The easiest way to upgrade is from your online account. Simnply log in, go to the 'My Contract, section then 'My Account' and follow the steps. If you're eligible for an upgrade, you'll be able to check available offers. Alternatively, you can visit us in any Carphone Warehouse store or call our Customer Services team on 0333 003 7777 or 7777 from your iD phone.

Has it not always been this price ?

just a bit of warning. i called up and they wont allow me to upgrade from their 1GB (£5) to 2GB (£7.50) plan. They said i need to cancel the current 1GB plan in order to upgrade.....so i did.
Now when i try signing up via their website. i get email saying "Unfortunately you didn?t meet the credit check criteria required for the contract you requested."

i dont have any debt, i always pay my bills on time. WTF idmobiles.
Been with them 6 months on their £5 deal. Initial set up of the online account and registering their app was a pain and took a couple of calls however since then I've had no issues. Uses 3 network but occasionally switches to EE.
No tethering!
Hot from me
idmobile.co.uk/hel…age
trying to check coverage but nothing coming up to click on for postcode etc ??
I'm on ID mobile (£5 - 1GB data, calls and texts) and just called them about getting the extra data which isn't easy if you want to keep your number as they 'can't port from ID to ID' so I'd need to:
- cancel my current ID contract which takes one month (like giving them one month's notice)
- request a PAC from them any time within the final month (PAC codes last for 30 days)
- switch my number to another provider just before the last day (I have an old O2 sim which I'll transfer the number to)
- join ID mobile with this new deal (£5 for 1.5GB data, calls and texts)
- request a PAC from the provider I switched my previous number to (in my case O2)
- transfer number to new ID account

Not sure I can be bothered to do this but I do have an old SIM knocking about so I might.

I've been with ID for two months, switched from GiffGaff and had no problems. Signal is marginally better where I am, the app is good which tells you what you've got left, there's a cap of £5 so you can't go majorly over your set tariff and tethering works fine.. Only had one cause to call them which was about this deal today and they answered pretty quickly.

In other words, they can't be bothered to help you so instead make you jump through hoops instead of just transferring you to the same plan with a different special offer. I bet there is no guarantee that when you port the number back to them that the offer will still be available. I was going to ring them this afternoon but not going to be bothered.
Can this contract be capped? Does Anyone know?

short answer is NO.

ID do not allow you to port nmbers already on their network. You would need an in-between SIM first.
Port out to a PAYG sim with another network, then port back into your new ID Sim.

Also, you cannot just upgrade your existing plan. ID simply do not offer this facility either.
Which means a 30 day notice period to cancel your existing plan
(with another months cost).
thanks for that crazydave
My O2 contract was up for renewal, but I couldn't get a decent retention offer first time round so I asked for my PAC and was going to move to this. But I done an online chat shortly after and the O2 advisor offered me: sim only deal 200mins, 250GB data, unlimited txts on a 12mth contract PLUS I get to keep my bolt ons from my current contract so I also get unlimited landline calls and unlimited weekend calls for £5.50 per month. Good deal so will be staying and not jumping.
Any idea how long this triple data offer is around for? My Life mobile contact us up in a couple of weeks and I was happy with the double days offer this lot were doing, but at triple...I'll have a bit of that!

Already having one contract from ID a while ago for my son.
Now tried to move remaining two for myself and my wife from Three (as it's constantly getting worse and worse), so added two more to basket and...

Interesting business model

EDIT:
Now it's getting funny. Applied for two sims, on top of one I had before in my name.
First order has been cancelled because I allegedly failed credit check, and then another order has gone through.
So I'm in the same time eligible and not eligible to be an ID Mobile client. How interesting is that?
