Any company that can knock £250 off their price must be a crap mattress

Or have an unrealistic full price to begin with.
15% Quidco too. Have this mattress and pillows - very happy with the mattress, but do keep in mind that it's quite firm (8.5/10), the pillows are rubbish though.
£70 for 2 pillows.
They should chuck in a free sheet too rrp 200 quid.

The last few weeks have enough poor ones to put me off........
Great, just got a short term let on a flat, this’ll do nicely
Even though Casper took my money and didn’t deliver my mattress (I now have the refund ......I can’t look at any single mattress-in-a-box more than £110 as I had the ultra bargain in my hands for a moment

You can never please everyone, and communication is an issue with all retailers atm due to covid and minimal staff etc.

tried a few of these including Nectar, Nectar has not seemed to have lasted as long as other trials, and can agree on customer service, took two weeks to get a reply from them about taking it back. Unlike other companies they want pictures of the mattress first and then will send a charity to collect. Its now been two weeks since they agreed to take it back and still nothing through, chased and chased and on friday they gave a new email address to use for priotity responses. Emailed Friday and nothing back as yet.

Other companies even during this time have been great.

I would say that just in general, watch out for these companies, two have Casper and Leesa have closed their UK business recently and Leesa went bust. You can buy some of these from the likes of John Lewis which makes the guarantee a little easier.

On the discount, these come and go, they are always on offer though.
Use the discount code FLASH40 for 40% off and free pillows. Only beneficial for those not buying single

I have an Otty and I like firm mattresses. Its perfect for me as I have a bad neck. Only downside to the mattress is that edges of the bed are not sprung so you sink down a little.

Best sleep I have ever had.

First off this is a good deal in terms of price and what's on offer.

However (I realise this will be really subjective, like all mattresses and pillows) we bought a Mattress and Pillow set from Nectar and it was the most uncomfortable sleep ever. We sent it back and got a full refund after a 3 month trial, but they chose not to take the pillows back. I still to this day cannot sleep using their pillows, they're that hard!

They are worth a try though, as they offer a 365 money back guarantee, and it may suit you...

We use a mattress from Eve sleep and would highly recommend it and their customer service!
Don't forget 15% Topcashback!!

Wonder how much money they have been making and still making after the £250 discount. 😳😳
Ordered using code: 40FOR48

Got it reduced slightly further, then the original post.

I compared a handful brands such as simba/Emma/otty. Going by price/reviews/firmness/trial period and overall features of mattress. 2nd choice would have been OTTY. Will give this a try, not confident enough to throw away old mattress just yet incase I need to start what appears to be a lengthy return process.

I did notice the recent reviews have been pretty bad based on the customer service but if I was to base my review for Admiral and EON energy over last few weeks... its been a nightmare to put my insurance on hold and query meter readings. Both are very reputable companies. Nevertheless I've taken a chance delivery is expected next week weds, if anyone wants an update feel free to message me for a honest review in due course.
I have a Nectar mattress - got 24% cashback through Quidco Premium (and has paid already) a few months back, highly recommend

I don't mind them making a decent profit if it's a well made product.

I don't have this mattress so I can't say how good the value is for the price.
Can anyone recommend a cheapish double (doesn't need to be in a box).

I live in a shared rented house and my mattress is utterly awful so would quite like one that's a slight improvement but won't break the bank and it won't matter if I leave it here after a year or so?
Been looking at getting this. Can anyone who has this say if it helps with people who get hot at night?

I ordered last night, will try give them a call tomorrow. It does say on Quidco T&C;

  • If you apply an additional discount that reduces your overall purchase price, this may cause your cashback to be declined or reduced. e.g Voucher codes, student discount, staff discount

so not sure if my order would qualify anyway considering I've used a voucher code?

I am guessing if you look for a firm mattress, this is not the one, right?

this seems to be advertised and reviewed as medium-firm, and a comment above from an owner "quite firm (8.5/10)"

Nice, I too got £186 in cashback on the mattress when they were doing that 2x Premium back in December.

Yes, I think I paid around £480 for the double mattress + the two pillows and a decent mattress protector, before cashback.
Have to wonder how many of these mattress in a box firms will be left standing after Coronavirus. Off the top of my head we've lost Leesa and Casper in the last month or so.
I will sleep on it

I would recommend the Dormeo Octaspring mattress TOPPER as my mattress itself is not that old but is not that great , the topper arrived on Monday , left it to 'puff up' more , put it on my bed on Tuesday and it has been SO comfy like sleeping on air!

It comes with a free pillow and there was a discount code for orders over £200 so I ended up with a free lavender mattress spray as well

Good thing is you can just roll it up and take it with you when you move home!

I am finding the pillow to be too uncomfortable for my neck unfortunately but I sleep with 2 pillows due to a problem with my ears and sinuses so I am going to try it as the bottom pillow today for support but not to put my head on as it's a bit too hard for me

If I could afford it one day or if they really dropped the price LOADS I would consider the full Octaspring mattress itself and I think they both come with a 6 month trial??

I honestly thought they would be doing GREAT during the Coronavirus as mine was OOS they were selling so well and the guy on the phone said that lots of people are having TROUBLE SLEEPING right now and so they are looking for a more comfortable mattress to HELP which is why I bought my Dormeo topper and had to wait a good month for it though as they had ran out!

Yet you are right as it is about those who can still AFFORD it but yet everyone seems to be buying £500 rattan patio furniture sets etc so if they can afford it , it depends on their priorities , mine was a good nights sleep and a cheap 'unfashionable' patio bench

I have to say my topper was the BEST THING I have bought / invested in over this time of pandemic as the relaxation it has brought is just so lovely!!

I have bought products from Debenhams in recent months, they simply did not send me everything I paid for,

I sent their customer service an email on the day of delivery, (a very polite email) requesting an alternative product or partial refund and they did not even bother to respond.

I got a randomly generated response customer service will reply within 48 hours

That was on the 04.05.20

It's time like these when customer service departments are put to the test,

Some companies have been found wanting it seems 😬.
Bought a super king Casper mattress for £700 after 12-months the mattress started to sag and Casper won't accept liability. Casper have rather strict criteria for receiving a refund or replacement.

Avoid.
I found the Nectar mattress ok at first and then became really uncomfortable. Return/refund was a bit of a faff, but got there eventually.

I have an Emma mattress now and it seems fairly comfortable (had it for about 6 months or so)

Think they just pulled out of UK and have no CS here anymore either, not sure if relevant to your case but might be the reason why. which.co.uk/new…uk/

Are you implying they make crap mattresses or calling them a crap mattresses for being overpriced?
Worth looking at the returns T&Cs for the 365 night trial:

"Our collections are undertaken by our charity partners. If they attend your property and refuse the collection of your mattress due to its condition, this decision is final and we will not accept the return and we will not refund your mattress."
